In France, websites for tax services, Météo-France, the police prefecture, and almost all regional prefectures are temporarily inaccessible. The Ministry of the Interior has taken its affected sites offline as a precautionary measure. Several other European government websites have also been impacted by these preventive steps. In the United States, the NSA is recommending immediate updates. These vulnerabilities could allow cyberattackers to take control of servers, steal data, or install malicious software.
