During my life, every time I released my own software or texts, I have done it under open source licenses (MIT, Apache, GPL, AGPL) or Creative Commons.
I’ve done it thinking that knowledge should be shared and not gatekept. Now, I think that we need new kinds of licensing to allow humans to use it as they want but limit the usage as megacorpotations fuel. It would be strictly breaking the idea behind public domain but at the same time, I think fueling models for big feudal companies it’s also working against ourselves.
I feel this as analogy of the “tolerance paradox”, if we tolerate everything from everyone, the intolerants will eat everyone else.

Of course it’s super safe to give your data to “identity verifiers”. Of course this would not be happening if they actually deleted the data after “verification”.
