A little MHA (Izuku & his trauma) rant here.

Idk but I think Izuku seeing vision of Shigaraki at the end is related to his trauma. Izuku is someone who wants to save people, and even tho he failed at saving Shigaraki (bc saving their "souls" doesn't mean anything in my humble opinion☺️) I think that would be pretty traumatic for Izuku since he was very determined to save him.
(I think he would feel guilty about it too. He did try to save him, and that means something considering he lives in a world where Gran Torino can dehumanize Shigaraki and scold Yagi for having sympathy for him so casually. Izuku lives in a world where people get dehumanized all the time, so him having sympathy and wanting to save Shigaraki is something! He tried even when Nana told him Shigi is a lost cause. And that's why failing at this would impact him a lot imo. I'll want to explore Izuku's trauma and the reason he failed to save Shigi later. Maybe I'll draw a short comic even, idk)
