| 19 | Motor Examination of the Lower Limbs – Normal Summary
On inspection, both lower limbs appeared symmetrical with normal posture and alignment. There was no muscle wasting, fasciculations, deformities, or abnormal movements.
Tone was normal bilaterally with no evidence of spasticity, rigidity, or hypotonia.
Power was full (5/5) in all major muscle groups of both lower limbs, including hip flexion and extension, knee flexion and extension, ankle dorsiflexion and plantarflexion, and great toe extension.
Reflexes were present, normal, and symmetrical, including the knee and ankle jerks. There was no clonus.
Plantar responses were downgoing bilaterally.
Coordination was intact, with normal heel–shin testing and no | 268 |
