رفيقي فما أُخْطِيهِ حينَ أُقَابِلُهْوهذا الرفيق (الشيخ) هو اغترابي، وموتي، ووحدتي، واشتياقي؛ هو اللامحدود من كل شيء يسكن دواخلي. أجدني في مراتٍ عديدة عاجزٌ عن الكلام، فيعجز هو أيضاً.
كلانا عاجزٌ عن الكلامأشعر أن في داخلي شيخًا هرمًا يرغب في الكلام، إلا أن لساني يعجز عن الإفصاح عمّا يختلج في صدره. منذ سنواتٍ مضت، ونحن نتقاسم جسدي هذا فيما بيننا؛ وكلانا اعتاد أن يغلبه العجز عن الكلام، إذ كنا على هذا الحال دائمًا. ومع ذلك، فإنني أفهمه حينًا، ويفهمني هو حينًا آخر.
