One question
Would you permanently blind 3 people if it fully cured the deafness of 30,000 people

I just got home, and on the road i literally saw 5 different accidents. Its very scary what is happening currently around us. እግዚአብሔር በቸርነቱ ይጠብቀን ፣ ከድንገተኛ አደጋና ሞት ይከልለን ።

I spent time reading this. It forced me to sit down and really look at things I've observed my whole life but never fully interrogated. and the contradiction we as men hold every day without realizing it
"When a woman speaks openly about feeling unsafe or watched, the immediate reflex for many men is to feel defensive and say, "Not all men, most of us are fine."
Well, look at how a man acts when he has a daughter, a sister, or a partner. suddenly, the world is full of threats he needs to protect her from. He warns her to be careful, checks who she's with, and stays up until she's home safe. Both cannot be true at the same time, Either the danger is rare enough that her wariness is paranoia, or it's real enough to justify a father's instinct to protect. we already know the answer. we know because we hear how men speak when women aren't in the room.
How easy is it for a culture to condition men to reserve true human admiration, Intellectual respect, loyalty, mentorship for other men, while reducing women primarily to whether they stir desire.
TBH, reading this wasn't about feeling guilty for things I didn't do personally. Guilt is passive and unhelpful in my opinion, its about understanding that being a "decent man" isn't a passive state. It actually requires active awareness.
Agreement is easy and cheap for me. Real accountability happens in the rooms where women aren't present.
It's in refusing to let objectifying language, It's in calling out entitlement when we see it in our circles, it's in making disrespect cost something among men.
We don't get to ask women to lower their guards or tear down the walls they've had to build just to stay safe and sane. The only real work we have as men is to ensure that we and the spaces we control are never the reason those walls needed to be built in the first place.
The above is my reflection and an apology.

Repost from Frosty Siren
Okay, this is finally up.
Not a men vs women thing, not a lecture. A lot of us live in a bubble, tech, creative, liberal spaces, where things look fine for women, but there's a mindset that follows us out of it and into our own heads. I wrote a piece to show what it's actually like to move through the world as a woman, so you feel it instead of being argued at. Including what the "man-hater" is really reacting to, because it isn't hate, even when it sounds like it.
Please read the whole thing, it's one picture, and the pieces only add up together. Half of it out of context reads wrong.
If you've ever been confused why women say it's still not okay when it looks fine to you, this is the walk-through.

And if it resonates, share it with anyone you think it might reach, women who'll feel seen, and men who genuinely want to understand
