Later he said he wanted to draw a house too..... Then he drew a gojo bet then he drew another house then he drew a gojo be on to of that....
Then ofcourse a really peculiar car .....
I asked him what he wanted me to draw he said a house I say what kind of house he said.... Gojo bet.....
I sketched this as I was drawing this he was asking about my pen (I have a really cold pen not to brag though.....)
So today I was out sketching this thing and a kid came up to me and asked what I was doing...... I told him I was drawing
He asked me to give it to him but I told him that I need this for school so he asked me to draw him something

Based on a conversation I had a while back with Hope on her channel debugging epohul (check her out like really cool stuff) I wanted to bring light to a lot of talented women artist in the animation/ digital art scene in Ethiopia. For a lot of U I'm sure it feels like a male dominated industry (which it kinda of is) but....

Mekdi Dani (we also have an up and coming digital artist here and a pro painter.....) Instagram
And with this one I had one of those...... Couldn't focus. Must create something now moments
But this time I thought to my self why not record (it's been a while since I felt this😭 next time I'll have a set up for my phone)
And well yes the recording made me lose focus for a bit and the fact that it was pen drawing made it more difficult (I would have refined some of the concepts if it was with pencil)

I also tried to do similar but different yehone neger....
Turning ordinary objects to concepts..... I will try to refine the concept with color digitally later on maybe to make it clearer but so far...m👀
For any of U that wish to join the discussion group you can either hit the discuss button at the channel profile or follow this link
Once again I have paused on week one.....
Work has been real though lately..... But well here's one thing I want to ask U guys..... How much value do U see in art
Do U even think art is valuable at all....
I also want to here Ur opinion on art that is less personal, more streamlined
Stuff like animation and digital art....

Designing principle: Value pattern
Focal point: the figure in center point of highest contrast in value and shape
Biggest shape the black figure in the middle broken down by the white stripes going down over it and the mid tone grey that melts into the ground which is the second biggest shape... all of this is followed by the light grey and the white sky. In the end we have the small figure creating the biggest contrast.
IDK I feel like I could have made the shapes more clear
And ooo yeah this one is mine😁

Designing principle: the strong Z path by the ground and stair way (it's more of a stylized L 😅) and value pattern was also used sparingly
Focal point:The father and his scout son in the middle (the son may have a stronger focal emphasis)
The largest shape ia obviously the whith thats broken down by the secondary midtone grey shapes (on the son and the ground) and the tertiary black shapes on the rest of the family and the pets
This one really took me out it was hard to finish cause like it was a very precisely drawn piece (atleast it felt that way) through out the time laps it's very clear why simply applying the path is not enough and well Rockwell was very precise on his illustration every addition felt very intentional bicha very much amazed
Original piece by Norman Rockwell
I forgot to do a timelaps of this one (would have been a very short video but still😭)
Designing principle: the s like path created by the lightening
Focal point: the silhouette of batman
This one is fairly simple to decifer as the biggest shape is the Grey back ground followed by Batman's silhouette followed by the lightening but the lightening does take spread over a larger visual plane as it is linear in shape and spans the entire length of the drawing
I might have been carried away in the middle forgetting that I was supposed to see the figures as shapes and not as figures with this one but I made sure the values in the picture is limited to the values I chose.

Designing principle: Value pattern/ shape pattern
Focal point: the general area in the lower third of the tow houses and the people + cars area of highest contrast of shapes and values
Biggest shape is the light grey that streches below and above the focal area, second largest is the white shapes (the houses and the sky). Third, well I'd say is the midtone grey... since it also melts into the white shapes and the light grey shape (the houses and shadow on the street) lastly it is the dark greys(practically black shapes)
since this was the first one I think my abstraction was weaker and I also felt like I should have disabled the penpressure to opacity setting cause it was creating new values apart from the selected
Original piece by Joseph Zbukvic
