یه هفته‌ست دارم تو ارومیه دنبال ریحان سبز میگردم که پستو درست کنم آخرش امروز بیخیال شدم گفتم اگه رنگشم بنفش شد اشکال نداره. مخلوط که کردم انگار نه انگار رنگ ریحانا بنفش بوده💀

I have talked about how “Cardigan” and “Peter” by Taylor Swift are both referencing “Peter Pan” by James Matthew Barrie. peter is basically written like a letter from Wendy’s perspective to peter after all the years. There’s this line that goes:

Lost through the Lost boys chapter of your life…

And now Phoebe’s whole song refers to this chapter of Peter Pan. On the surface it uses the imagery of the Lost Boys from Peter Pan (the children who never grow up) but Phoebe turns that idea into something much sadder: people who are emotionally stuck, haunted by the past, and unable (or unwilling) to find their way home.

One last thing before bed, There’s nothing quite like the feeling of the time when you’re driving around in the car with others and suddenly a song comes up and all the conversations go silent and the only sound around is the song that’s playing. Each person choses a sight to stare at and seems like every person has chosen their own way of connection to the lyrics. Then the song ends and people are back in the conversation as if those few minutes were not counted as the time of our lives. Felt like nobody talks about it, so I had to.🎼

There is this belief that the media is just a sugarcoated lie, I used to deeply believe in that statement. But now I think I’d rather change the word “lie” to “not completely honest” for it to be more accurate. And the reason is that the bright side of life including all the happy moments and successes shared in the media are still an actual part of life. And I find it really honest in a good way when artists use their platform to share the darker sides of life (without missing it, which is a whole different topic which I don’t wanna get into rn)

برای حیوانات صرفا بحث بقای نسله، فلامینگو هایی که برگشتن، آرتمیا هایی که دارن روز به روز بیشتر میشن و گونه های گیاهی و جانوری جزیره هایی که دوباره دارن از هم جدا میشن دارن کم کم به حالتی که پیش از خشکی دریاچه بودن برمیگردن. شاید اینها صرفا بخشی از پروسه غریزی این جاندارانه ولی برای آدمها برگشتن حیوانات یه جنبه احساسی هم داره. انگار عضوی از خونواده داره از سفری که مدت زمانیش نامشخص بود برمی‌گرده. و این خیلی زیباست🦩

به عنوان ناحیه ای از کشور که زندگیشون خیل با طبیعت گره خورده، کمتر پیدا میشن کسانی که دغدغه مند مسائل محیط زیستی باشن. شایدم چون این مسائل توی این ناحیه تازگی ندارن خیلی توی بحث های روزمره بُلد نیستن. ولی یکی از مسائلی که تک تک آدمهایی که این بار توی ارومیه ملاقات کردم راجع بهش ابراز خوشحالی کردن پر آب تر بودن دریاچه ارومیه‌ست. زنده تر دیدنش انگار جونی به جونهای مردم این اهالی اضافه کرده🌊

The daisy field was the closest picture to what they’ve described as the promised heaven and the sun left the most delicate kiss on my face. It was daisies, he loved the most🤍🌼
