Farmers Sacrifice 2 Pickup Trucks To Stop A Broken Levee from Flooding. Backstory: California had some of the heaviest recorded rainfalls causing flooding. The farmers in the video were trying to protect their pistachio orchard from the rising waters. (expensive trees). So they launched a F-150 & Silverado, beds filled with dirt, into the levee and amazingly it worked in holding off most of the water flowing through the hole. By slowing it down, it gave them more time to fill in the gap with dirt, saving their orchard.
