EthersJS, one of Ethereum's most popular Javascipt SDKs has added Pocket Network API's to their default providers API key section! This means that any of the various dapps using EtherJS can quickly switch to Pocket Network, and not deal with the potential headaches that can come with centralized infrastructure. To run a single node on Pocket Network, you’ll need to purchase and stake a minimum of 15,000 POKT. If a node stake falls below the minimum stake at any time for any reason, the stake will be burned by the protocol. As a best practice, we recommend purchasing an extra 7% to 10% buffer of POKT, above the minimum stake per node, so you do not get slashed for going below the minimum. This is to account for any unforeseen slashing events due to node misconfiguration, bad behavior, natural disaster, or potential accident. Purchasers of POKT must be buying tokens to use and stake it to either run a node or deploy an app, without expectations of profit or appreciation. Users must stake POKT for a minimum of 21 days (one unstaking period) and use it before transferring it.
