IFoS Interview Name- Bird Watcher Board- Sanjay Verma Sir Date-24/04/2024, 30 Min approx. DAF- Cricket,Driving, Travelling, Volleyball, NSS, Maharashtra. Optionals- Agriculture, Botany. Chairman: (many follow up questions, mostly on hobbies) 1) Are u 6'3 tall? Is it genetically? 2) To what u will attribute your health and fitness? 3) What kind of driving exactly?..2 wheeler or 4 wheeler? You are tall so which car is comfortable for such persons and your favourite SUV? 4) Diesel car Vs Petrol cars..issues with diesel car...which one will u prefer? 5) What type of travelling exactly? Places u have travelled and farthest one? 6) Learnings from traveling? As u do solo traveling so where u stay and whether u have stayed at any station at night or not? Any problems and whether u got sick due to food contamination and releted issues till date? M1(Lady): 1) About green revolution & exactly which varieties developed and process followed? 2) Name research institutions in agriculture. 3) Why there is less research in forestry as well as in agriculture?what should we do? M2: 1) Why contribution of agriculture in GDP is decreasing? how we can increase it.? 2)How many acres of land u cultivate...irrigated or dryland.? 3) Suppose you are DFO of a region and govt has approved a land for your residence bunglow, but that place belongs to such NGO which runs school for education to local students.what will u do in such case?? 4) Do u employ labours in your farm or the family itself do the all operations?? M3- 1) GM crops? Should we develop in forest plants also? 2) There are some groups that are supporting GM crops and other are opposing...then what's ur opinion.. should we promote it?? 3)what u have did so far in farm to improve yields..? 4) There is possibility that farmers and locals may not support you or others who are recommending changes in agriculture practices..so what will u do in such case ?? Chairman again : 1)Tell some environmentalist from Maharashtra & India. 2) Tell some Hockey players from Indian national team? 3) Best female singers currently? ( not related to hobby) 4) Tell any author of fiction books? (Not related to hobby) What will be your book based on and what name u will give? 5) Do u know that one snake catcher who is very famous in India and how u generated interest in this species.( Based on my previous answer) Board was very cordial...never interrupted in between...was keenly observing especially chairman. No grilling as such but many follow up questions... it's mostly on DAF(hobbies, agriculture graduation).
