Here are the top 7 books on learning, along with 2 quotes for each:
1) "Make it Stick: The Science of Successful Learning" by Peter C. Brown:
"Many common study habits and practice routines turn out to be counterproductive. Underlining and highlighting, rereading, cramming, and single-minded repetition of new skills create the illusion of mastery, but gains fade quickly." "Retrieval practice, spacing, interleaving and other interventions improve learning, but—and this is key—we tend to be unaware of it."2)"A Mind for Numbers" by Barbara Oakley:
"As the title may suggest, this book uses math and science as the context of 'learning how to learn' but the concepts covered here can easily be applied to any other subject matter or skill." "It goes through things like overcoming procrastination, 'chunking', focus and diffused modes of thinking, etc."3)"Ultralearning" by Scott H. Young:
"Most well-known for having done the 'MIT Challenge' (completing the 4-year MIT Computer Science curriculum in 1-year), Scott lays out his methodology in this book that supposedly helps readers take on their own 'ultralearning' project." "The #1 book above all is - Make it stick: The science of successful learning. It has all the answers you seek.""Deep Work" by Cal Newport:
"The ability to perform deep work is becoming increasingly rare at exactly the same time it is becoming increasingly valuable in our economy." "Deep work is necessary to wring every last drop of value out of your current intellectual capacity." "Outsmart Your Brain" by Daniel Willingham: "This book argues for the importance of background knowledge, the crucial role attention plays in memory, and how cognition changes as we become more proficient.""Read them after reading Ultralearning. They build heavily upon the concepts that Scott Young talks about in his book." "Teach Yourself How to Learn" by Sandra Yancy McGuire:
"This book is a revelation. I feel as if I’ve owned a brain for fifty-four years and only now discovered the operating manual." "A valuable, entertaining tool for educators, students and parents.""Study Like a Champ" by John Dunlosky:
"I tend to find mnemonics less helpful for studying than they are often hyped to be." "From a practical perspective, I’d recommend Straight-A or Make it Stick above this book@ebookscafe

Second, adopt Huberman’s "stress-is-enhancing" mindset.
Rather than a sign of struggle, properly framed stress can boost performance
It acts like a laser, focusing energy with pinpoint efficiency.
Combined with a growth mindset, stress becomes fuel to expand your abilities.

So what do you do?
First, recognize that there are 2 main forms of stress. Identify which one you face:
• Acute stress - intense bursts from immediate pressures
• Chronic stress - drawn out from lingering issues
Identification leads to clarity. Clarity leads to control.

It’s a survival mechanism.
It prepares our mind and body for potential action and response.
But most of us were never taught how to control it.
And when left unchecked, it can ruin your life.

But we also have an incredible inner power to withstand unimaginable levels of stress.
Yet to overcome it, we need to understand what stress actually is.
It’s a misunderstood phenomenon that we can harness for good…

Stress and anxiety can get the best of us at the worst times.
As deadlines loom, work piles up, and the stakes get bigger, it takes over our lives.
It paralyzes us into submission.

Stress is the body's built-in response to perceived threats and demands.
The hypothalamus tells the adrenal glands to release cortisol and adrenaline.
Our heart pounds faster. Muscles tense. Senses sharpen.

I used to be stressed out of my mind…
Then I spent 100 hours+ binging every single Andrew Huberman podcast online.
Here’s what I found.

“Most people are taught how to drive a car.
But most people are not taught how to drive their nervous system.”
This is the problem with stress - we all experience it. But we don’t know how to control it.

Tuesdays With Morrie
Maybe it was a grandparent, or a teacher or a colleague. Someone older, patient and wise, who understood you when you were young and searching, and gave you sound advice to help you make your way through it. For Mitch Albom, that person was Morrie Schwartz, his college professor from nearly twenty years ago.
Maybe, like Mitch, you lost track of this mentor as you made your way, and the insights faded. Wouldn't you like to see that person again, ask the bigger questions that still haunt you?
Mitch Albom had that second chance. He rediscovered Morrie in the last months of the older man's life. Knowing he was dying of ALS - or motor neurone disease - Mitch visited Morrie in his study every Tuesday, just as they used to back in college. Their rekindled relationship turned into one final 'class': lessons in how to live.

The most difficult thing is the decision to act,
The rest is merely tenacity,
The fears are paper tigers,
Conquer them and success will follow.

You have be greater than your feelings. I don’t demand this of you—life does. Otherwise, you’ll be washed away by feelings. You’ll be washed out to sea and never seen again.

The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don't wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.

"The difference between good and great is often an extra round of revision.
The person who looks things over a second time will appear smarter or more talented, but actually is just polishing things a bit more.
Take the time to get it right. Revise it one extra time."

Life is similar.
Too much challenge makes life hard, but so does too little."

No Loitering. Get To Work
In another interview,
Seinfeld said, “my motto is ‘No loitering. Get to work.’ … It’s like going into the gym every day.
You know how you walk in everyday and you go, ‘oh geez, I gotta do this again?’ … But then once you get going, 30 minutes into your workout, you’re okay.” Whether it’s the blank page, the stage, or the gym, Seinfeld says, “that’s life: it’s a high confront. It’s a very high confront. You master the confront, you’ve mastered life.”

We love the idea of a self-made man. I understand the sentiment. It gives us hope. It inspires us that if someone, despite coming from nothing, are able to get something out of their lives, maybe we can too. It gives meaning to our daily struggles. But, nobody really is a self-made man or a self-made woman.
None of us have ever done anything on our own when you really think about it. We are products of our circumstances and we all get help from others in some shape and form. Others have paved or pointed the way for us in some form or other, whether we’re aware of it or not.
We are all here thanks to the contributions of others. Even in the worst case scenario where we hardly had any positive influence in our life; even if most of the people we’ve ever run into have been only an obstacle or an enemy or they did nothing but hurt us — they have all still taught us something. We are here today, right now, in whatever shape and form, because of the people and circumstances in our life — for better and for worse.

"Life is easier when you know what you want—but most people don't take the time to figure out what they want.
It's not that we are completely lost, but our efforts are often slightly misdirected. People will work for years and ultimately achieve a lifestyle that isn't quite what they were hoping for—often, simply, because they never clearly defined what they wanted.
An hour of thinking can save you a decade of work."

Author Shakti Gawain on living authentically:
"Often people attempt to live their lives backwards: they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want so that they will be happier.
The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then, do what you need to do, in order to have what you want."
