Notes to Thyself

Are you busy? or are you effecient As much as possible, free all your time and mental space for yourself. You are pulled and stretched in all directions all the time by outside forces and information overload. Any moment you can keep it for the self should be treasured. Be mindful of how you spend your time. It's the most fundamental currency of life. We all must spend it wisely. Invest it in life experiences and people and things that matter to you. Don't participate in shallow projects or activities that don't align with your values. Societal pressures may make it difficult to step away, but remember that your time and energy are precious. Prioritize what fulfills you and what you believe in.

The fun is in the pursuing more than the having

Remind yourself often to remember who comes to help and who comes to take advantage when things get tough. Remember the names of those who helped you. Return favors whenever the opportunity arises. Forgive those who tried to take advantage of you, but don't forget their actions. Make sure they don't get a second chance.

Fires have destroyed many trees and animal homes in Cambodia, while most all of these fires are caused by people. Planting new trees, like the 54 planted recently, is good, but it feels small compared to the big fires. People must learn not to start fires, and strong rules must be made to prevent them. Special methods can be used to control and watch for fires, and we all must help by planting trees and caring for nature. More solutions include creating firebreaks to stop fires from spreading and using technology to find fires quickly. Communities must work together to protect the forests and support wildlife programs to protect our wildlife populations. Even small actions, when combined, can make a big difference.

What else can we do,besides trying to plan more and hope that the fire will be less next year and the year after that. And hopefully more people plant where live and educate people who cause fire and educate their kids to start loving trees 🌳.

Between March to April, multiple fires 🔥 happened @VitaminAir, its surrounding, and other parts of Cambodia, as well as others part of the world. These fires are more manmade than naturally. At least at where we are. Countless trees have been burned. Countless wildlife and animals shelter were destroyed. What can ones do about it? Yesterday, I planned 54 young trees 🌳 in a form of nano forest, near the part that was burned in April 17th. It's so little compared to that one afternoon forest fires 🔥 in April. One afternoon only, the fire could destroy hundreds of hectares, thousands of trees. Here I am planting 54 trees. What change can it made? Even if I plant 54 trees everyday for the rest of my life, it might be only be equivalent to a week of forest fires. Adding on top of that, there seem to be forest fire every year.

Crypto Cycles May 18, 2024 In each crypto cycle, there's always hype from which people can profit. Whether it's good or bad depends on the observer's perspective. 2013 was the first cycle, the era of Bitcoin and a few clone coins. It also birthed the first meme coin, Dogecoin. The next cycle, between late 2015 and early 2018, saw the rise of smart contracts and ICOs. 2019-2021 was the era of Non-EVM chains, DeFi, and NFTs, with NFTs garnering significant attention. The 2023-2024 or till 2025 cycle is the age of L2 and meme coins. Based on Dune data, over 1 million meme tokens were created on various blockchains. I wonder what the next cycle's hype will be. Could it be interoperable loyalty rewards or NFTs representing real-world assets, bringing about a second NFTs frenzy? Or maybe L3. There's always something in every cycle.
