I think the fact that we're able to feel sadness is a beautiful thing. It's obviously all about contrast. But also the fact that there's nothing new. No new pain, no new suffering to experience than the weight we've already felt. And the positives, the beautiful things are always right there, adoring all over or tucked beneath life's folds. The silver lining, they say. It's always right there, whether it becomes a lesson, a memory or some sort of experience, it has weight. It has value. There is a caution as well for how we manifest it. Sometimes it becomes fear. Anxiety you can feel even in your fingertips. Your lungs suspended and stuck where they are, as a chilling wave of cold and unnerving wind washes through your body. Before it seems quite hopeless, you have to realize there is a layer to that. There is a person who has buried his head upside down in to the grounds of his soul, like a mythical ostrich. I don't think that helps, a lot. Mere thoughts can help dig you out. Tiny notions you can let run rampant in your head of these past lessons, memories and experiences can remind you that there's a shining bright sun on the other side of this.
