No one stays the same; sometimes broad horizons open up, other times there's nowhere to move. Both are good. Both are gifts of existence. We need to cultivate gratitude that thanks for whatever comes. Just enjoy what's unfolding—it's happening right now, and nothing else. Tomorrow, perhaps one thing will change and become something different; enjoy the change. The day after tomorrow, another thing may arrive. Embrace the third. Here are a few tips to handle it: ✅ Determine whose opinion truly matters to you. Make a list, and watch the intimidating “everyone” shrink to just your family, your partner, your boss at work, maybe a neighbor. But not “EVERYONE.” ✅ Tell yourself mentally: “Most people are too busy with their own lives to judge me” or “If they don’t like me, that’s their problem.” ✅ Don’t rush to defend yourself. If you hear criticism aimed at you, don’t hurry to jump on the defensive. Hear them out, and then decide whether to take it to heart or ignore it. Remember, public opinion is fickle. Learn to be grateful and never tire of gratitude 🙏 Notice every small thing in your day that is a gift: someone comforted and encouraged you, someone helped you find the right book, someone simply made you laugh (and humor is always a gift from the Lord, the greatest comedian of all we know), someone gave you something of their own, no less needed by them, someone wrote "sending you love and tenderness"… Be grateful in return. Thank the bearer of gifts, thank the very ability to give thanks, thank the Universe, the Lord, Life—for all of it is One.
