1️⃣ Accept reality
Don’t deny or push away painful memories. Dwelling on the problem won’t help you find its solution. The solution isn’t where the problem is.
2️⃣ Let something new into your life
Change always brings fear, especially when we can’t imagine what lies ahead. This is one reason we cling to painful memories. Instead of pushing away unwanted emotions, welcome the positive.
3️⃣ Focus on what you want
Rerunning your mistakes and obsessing over the past only makes you feel worse. Say yes to worry, guilt, and other negative thoughts. That helps you free yourself from their influence. Then picture the life you’d like to be living.
