Don't be overly modest.
• You could spend a lifetime sitting in a dusty corner, unseen, even with a wealth of merits and talents, if you don't take the initiative. Promoting your own ideas is an art you’ll need to master if you want to succeed. There’s nothing wrong with mentioning your strengths and achievements: people should understand that you’re successful, and collaborating with you will benefit them too. Just make sure self-promotion doesn’t turn into vanity. Sometimes it’s enough to mention what you’re good at (for example, editing videos on a computer), and you’ll instantly attract like-minded people.

🔹The Mirror Rule.
The people around us are our mirrors. They reflect aspects of our personality, often ones we don’t even recognize. For example, if we keep getting deceived again and again, it shows we have a tendency to trust just anyone.
🔹Rule of Choice.
We need to understand that everything happening in our lives is the result of our own choices. And if today we’re dealing with other people's problems, that means we either need it or we enjoy it. So don’t blame others. We are the cause of everything that happens to us. The authors and creators of our own fate are ourselves.

We have exactly what we reflect—no more and no less (whether in our relationships with people, work, or money). If you can’t love someone fully, it’s odd to demand that they love you back. So much of our complaints are meaningless. And as we decide to change, the people around us change as well.

We live here and now. The past doesn’t exist, because with each moment it becomes the present. The future doesn’t exist yet. Remember: clinging to the past leads to depression, and worrying about the future fuels anxiety.
🔹Rule of Optimism.
While we complain about life, it goes on. People who view their life and the events around them with optimism tend to have fewer health problems and usually live longer. Setbacks and defeats are best seen as the consequences of certain circumstances we can change to achieve a better result.
