i genuinely cannot stand out of touch people who treat being woke like it's an aesthetic or trend. the same people who lecture others about eating meat, sustainability, overconsumption and morality are wearing brands built on exploitation and animal cruelty, using products tested on animals, flying across the world ten times a month, and shooting one ad for more money than most people will ever see in years and somehow they still act morally superior. it’s not even just celebrities anymore. regular people do this too because being "socially aware" has become trendy and attractive online. everything they do is performative af. they want the image of being ethical what bothers me most is the complete disconnect from reality. a normal person is worrying about rent, food, college fees, meanwhile millionaires are telling people how to live from inside a system they benefit from the most. and then everyone claps. i hate this hypocrisy.
