🚨 Bajaur update Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman Muhammad Khurasani has issued a statement regarding the attack on the Damangi Scouts camp in Loi Mamond, Bajaur. According to the statement, the assault began with a VBIED attack carried out by a member of TTP’s Special Istishhadi Force (SIF), followed by an armed assault team entering the compound and engaging in fighting that reportedly continued late into the night. TTP claims at least 100 Pakistani security personnel were killed or wounded during the operation. The group further alleges military vehicles and ammunition depots inside the camp were destroyed, while weapons and equipment were seized and taken away by militants. The statement identified two militants killed during the operation as Abu Dujana and Hunain.

🚨 Bajaur Update Heavy clashes were reported overnight on 14–15 May 2026 following a militant assault targeting the Damangi Scouts camp/post in the Loi Mamond area of Bajaur District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to reports, the attack began with a suicide VBIED blast followed by an attempted infiltration of the compound by armed militants. Preliminary reports indicate at least 8 Pakistani security personnel were killed and several others injured (likely more casualties than what is being reported) TTP claimed responsibility for the operation, alleging militants breached the camp, set fire to military vehicles and ammunition depots, and later engaged reinforcement forces in nearby areas. The attack was reportedly linked by TTP figures to recent Pakistani military activity near the Afghanistan border region, particularly Kunar province.

🚨 Islamic State Features Previously Claimed Bajaur and KP Attacks in Al-Naba Issue 547 The Islamic State’s weekly publication Al-Naba (Issue 547, released Thursday, 26 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1447 AH) has now formally claimed responsibility for both recent attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to the publication, ISKP claimed: • The assassination of a Pakistani “counter-terrorism” officer in Tarkho, Mamund area of Bajaur near the Afghanistan border. • The killing of former provincial parliament member and cleric Muhammad Idris, along with additional alleged “spies,” in separate operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The claims were published in the latest issue of Al-Naba under the group’s Khorasan Province section.

🚨 Balochistan Update Baloch insurgents reportedly detained three employees linked to the “Siah Dik” copper mining project during snap checks on the Quetta–Taftan RCD Highway near Dalbandin. A vehicle associated with the RekoDiq project was also seized. Earlier, insurgents attacked a convoy of approximately 20 heavy vehicles transporting minerals/raw materials under security escort in the Shekhwasil area near Nushki. At least 6 Pakistani security personnel, including drivers, were reportedly killed, while 8 vehicles carrying minerals/raw materials were destroyed or damaged. The incidents reflect continued insurgent targeting of strategic mining and transport infrastructure across western Balochistan.

India's 🇮🇳 Three Key Milestones during Ops Sindoor Anniversary. May 7 - Tara Glide Weapon System: DRDO conducted the maiden flight test of the Tactical Advanced Range Augmentation (Tara) system. As India's first indigenous modular glide weapon, it is capable of transforming conventional unguided warheads into long-range precision-guided weapons, marking a shift toward standoff precision warfare. May 8 - Advanced Agni VI Missile with MIRV Technology: India successfully test-fired an advanced variant of its potent Agni missile equipped with Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology. Unnamed sources indicate this is the Agni-VI, which has a potential range of over 10,000 km, though it was tested on a depressed trajectory for a reduced range of 3,500 km. MIRV capability allows a single missile to deploy multiple warheads to strike different targets across a large geographical area. May 9 - Scramjet Combustor for Hypersonic Missiles: DRDO completed an extensive, long-duration ground test of an actively cooled, full-scale scramjet combustor. The test achieved an uninterrupted run time of over 1,200 seconds. This sustained supersonic combustion is a critical technological breakthrough needed for developing next-generation hypersonic cruise missiles capable of traveling at speeds exceeding Mach 5. https://www.business-standard.com/technology/tech-news/india-validates-three-strategic-missile-technologies-in-three-days-126051000722_1.html

🇹🇷 Turkish defence-tech firm Pasifik Teknoloji has announced a massive export agreement involving 100,000 FPV kamikaze drones under its “Merküt” brand, alongside unmanned helicopters, tactical loitering munitions, and autonomous ground systems. The deal marks the company’s first major defence export and immediately pushed its shares to the daily upper circuit in Turkish markets. 📌 According to the disclosure, the package includes • 100,000 Merküt FPV kamikaze drones • 10 Alpin unmanned helicopters • 25 Dumrul mini unmanned helicopters • 500 Deli tactical kamikaze systems • 500 Korgan autonomous ground support & surveillance units Notably, the buyer country has not been disclosed. Pasifik Teknoloji only described it as a “friendly and allied” nation. The scale of the order itself is significant. A procurement of 100,000 FPV drones is not meant for limited counter-terror operations or symbolic acquisitions. It indicates preparations for sustained attritional warfare, mass battlefield drone deployment, and rapid force multiplication through low-cost precision strike systems. This is directly in line with lessons emerging from the Russia-Ukraine war, where FPV kamikaze drones have fundamentally altered tactical battlefield dynamics. The inclusion of autonomous ground support platforms and tactical loitering systems further suggests an effort toward building an integrated unmanned warfare ecosystem rather than isolated drone capability. 📌 Why Pakistan Could Be the Buyer While there is no official confirmation, several indicators point toward the possibility of Pakistan being the end user • Turkey and Pakistan have witnessed deepening defence-industrial cooperation over the past decade, ranging from naval programs to UAV collaboration and electronics integration. • Pakistan has increasingly prioritised low-cost asymmetric systems, especially after observing the effectiveness of FPV drone warfare in Ukraine and the Middle East. • The quantity involved aligns with a country seeking rapid force scaling despite economic constraints. FPV drones provide a comparatively cheap way to offset conventional asymmetries. • Pakistan’s military has already demonstrated growing interest in loitering munitions, swarm drones, and unmanned ISR-strike integration. • The term “friendly and allied country” is language Turkish firms and officials have frequently used in reference to Pakistan in previous defence cooperation contexts. If Pakistan is indeed the buyer, this deal would represent one of the largest FPV drone acquisitions in the region and could significantly influence future battlefield doctrines in South Asia, particularly along the western front and in hybrid warfare environments. The announcement also reinforces a larger trend. Mid-tier powers are increasingly building affordable mass-drone ecosystems capable of saturating conventional air defence and reshaping tactical warfare at scale.
