As a result, we never got to see Nicola’s custom bridal gown from Victoria Beckham—ironically set to be the first bespoke wedding dress in VB brand history. Still, the bride wore her main ceremony dress as planned. The look was overseen by stylist Leslie Fremar. A full year went into creating the dress: ongoing correspondence with Valentino’s couture team, two trips to the brand’s Rome headquarters, and two fittings in the U.S. Among her other wedding looks were a custom Dior suit by Kim Jones, and a made-to-measure Versace gown for the reception—an alternative that ultimately stepped in for the original Victoria Beckham design.
