She designed iconic pieces like the Gae Aulenti lamp for Artemide, table for Knoll, and chair for Cassina. Her architectural legacy includes the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, and Milan’s Pavilion of Modern Art. Widely honored, she received the Compasso d’Oro in 1979 and the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 1992.
