"I think this is the first fight I've ever turned down. I was offered a fight against an opponent who is outside the top 10. If I win, what will it get me? Probably nothing.
I'm ranked fourth in the world, I'm 37 years old. I only have one chance left to reach the title, and I want to make sure I use it as effectively as possible," Sterling wrote on social media.

Alexander Volkanovski hinted at the possibility of retiring after his fight with Movsar Evloev.
"If everything goes really badly, then okay, we'll end it there. If everything goes very well, like last time, and I don't suffer any damage, then we'll continue. I make decisions after each of my fights. I try to realistically assess the situation, but right now I don't have any plans to retire. I'm almost certain that we'll continue," said Alex.
