The Anatomical Snuffbox (Radial Fossa) Location: lateral aspect of dorsum of hand, at level of carpal bones. Best seen when thumb is extended. 🔺 Borders Ulnar (medial): 🟢 EPL tendon Radial (lateral): 🔵 EPB + APL tendons Proximal: 🟠 Styloid process of radius Floor: ⚪ Scaphoid most commonly fractured carpal bone. + Trapezium Roof: 🟣 Skin 📦 Contents 1️⃣ Radial arter good puls point. 2️⃣ Superficial branch of radial nerve 🧠 3️⃣ Cephalic vein 🩸

🩸 The venous system of the upper limb --- ☑️ Subdivided into: Superficial system 🌊 Deep system 🏞️ --- 🌊 Superficial Veins The major superficial veins of the upper limb are the 🫀cephalic ⭐ and 🗽🌡basilic 🌙 veins. They are located within the subcutaneous tissue of the upper limb. Both originate in the subcutaneous tissue on the dorsum of the hand from the dorsal venous network. --- 🌙 Basilic Vein Ascends the medial aspect of the upper limb. At the border of the teres major, the vein moves deep into the arm. Here, it combines with the brachial veins from the deep venous system to form the axillary vein. --- ⭐ Cephalic Vein Ascends the antero-lateral aspect of the upper limb, passing anteriorly at the elbow. At the shoulder, the cephalic vein travels between the deltoid and pectoralis major muscles (deltopectoral groove). Enters the axillary region via the clavipectoral triangle. Within the axilla, the cephalic vein empties into the axillary vein. --- 🔗 Connection The cephalic ⭐ and basilic 🌙 veins are connected at the elbow by the median cubital vein 🔄. أكثر الأوردة استخدامًا لسحب الدم، لأنه كبير، ثابت، وسهل الوصول --- 🏞️ Deep Veins The deep venous system of the upper limb is situated underneath the deep fascia. It is formed by paired veins, which accompany and lie on either side of an artery.
