Good enough does NOT mean bad.
It means:
Don't spend unlimited resources chasing perfection when the additional quality isn't worth the cost. The trap Developers can easily fall into:
"Just one more refactor."
"Let me redesign this."
"The architecture could be cleaner."
"The UI isn't perfect."

A weekly strategic review:
1. What am I currently building? 2. Why am I building it? 3. Is it still moving me toward the original goal? 4. What has changed? 5. What should I stop doing?
Don't Lose the Big Picture
Instead of one terrible decision, teams drift hundreds of tiny decisions that slowly take them somewhere they never meant to go.
How it happens:
"It's just one small feature." ↓ "Just another one." ↓ "We'll patch this." ↓ The product is now completely different from what you originally intendedDon't just ask "What am I doing today?" Also ask "Where are all these small decisions taking me?"
Whenever you encounter resistance to a project: Ask
"What's the smallest thing I can build that proves the idea?"Instead of telling someone why a new process will work:
Prototype it.
Rule to follow:
Never allow "temporary" to become permanent. If you can't fix something properly now:
contain it, document it, create a ticket, or isolate it.Don't pretend it doesn't exist.

Ask yourself:
What are the things you'd be embarrassed to show a senior engineer?
The AI-Era Version of the Same Problem:
- Unreviewed AI-generated code - Copy-pasted AI boilerplate - Hallucinated dependencies/APIs - No tests because "the AI said this was correct" - Inconsistent patterns across AI sessions - Context-window shortcuts (paste whole file, ask for a fix) - Over-trusted autocomplete suggestions - "We'll have the AI clean this up later" - Documentation nobody actually verified (AI writes the code, then AI writes docs about it, and it all sounds correct even when no one checked)
Examples in a real project
- Bad naming - Copy-pasted code - Missing tests - Temporary hacks - Hardcoded values - Poor documentation - Unclear architecture - TODOs that never disappear - "We'll refactor later" One isn't necessarily catastrophic. The problem is normalizing them.
A project rarely becomes terrible overnight.
It happens like this:
Small bad decision ↓ "We'll fix it later" ↓ Another shortcut ↓ Another workaround ↓ More complexity ↓ Nobody wants to touch it ↓ Huge mess
Repost from Mike
I almost lost everything this year.
Not “stressed about deadlines” losing everything.
My dad. My family. Everything I’ve been building.
There were nights I genuinely didn’t know if RAVN would survive the month.
But my cofounder and I kept building anyway. Through the doubt, uncertainty, and nights when nothing seemed to work.
Today, I’m incredibly grateful to share that RAVN has been accepted into Antler.
$400K in funding, backed by one of the world’s leading venture builders, alongside companies like Lovable, Airalo, Reebelo, and Tactiq.
To everyone who watched us build this from the beginning, thank you. This wasn’t luck or a guarantee. We kept building long before there was anything to celebrate.
Most importantly, I’m grateful to God. He never left us.
We’ve come a long way.
We’re just getting started.
