Soalan Add Maths untuk hari ni! Saja nak tengok korang masih ingat tak konsep Circular Measure ni. Siapa dapat answer bole post kat bawah oke
Isotope usage
1. Cobalt-60 (Cancer Treatment)
The Trick: Remember the "C".
Cobalt = Cancer.
It is used in radiotherapy to kill cancer cells using gamma rays.
2. Iodine-131 (Thyroid / Goitre)
The Trick: Think of Salt.
In Malaysia, we have "Iodized Salt" to prevent Goitre (swelling of the neck).
Iodine = Illness in the neck (Thyroid).
3. Carbon-14
(Archaeology)
The Trick: Think of "Old".
All living things are made of Carbon. When they die, the Carbon-14 decays.
Carbon = Chronology (Estimating the age of fossils/artifacts).
4. Phosphorus-32 (Agriculture)
The Trick: Think of Plants.
Phosphorus = Plants.
Used as a tracer to see how much fertilizer a plant absorbs.
5. Uranium-235 (Energy)
The Trick: Think of "U" for Utility.
Uranium = Utility (Generating electricity in nuclear power plants).
6. Sodium-24
(Engineering)
The Trick: Think of "S" for Seepage.
Sodium = Seepage.
Used to detect leaks (seepage) in underground pipes.
3. Subatomic Particles & Isotopes
Proton Number: Number of protons in the nucleus.
Nucleon Number: Total number of (Protons + Neutrons).
Trick: Nucleon = Number of Neutrons + Protons.
Isotopes: Atoms of the same element with the same proton number but different nucleon numbers (or different number of neutrons).
2. History of Atomic Models (Acronym: DAL-THOM-RU-BO-CHAD)
Use this to remember the scientists in the correct order:
DAL (Dalton) – Solid sphere (The "indivisible" atom).
THOM (Thomson) – Discovered Electrons (Plum Pudding Model).
RU (Rutherford) – Discovered Proton & the Nucleus.
BO (Bohr) – Electrons move in Shells (Orbits).
CHAD (Chadwick) – Discovered Neutron (The final piece).
1. Changes in State of Matter (Heating/Cooling Curves)
This is a "hot" topic for Paper 2 (Structured Questions).
The "Flat Line" Trick: Whenever the graph goes horizontal (plateau), the Temperature is Constant.
Heating: Why? Heat energy is used to overcome the forces of attraction between particles (so temperature doesn't rise).
Cooling: Why? Heat energy released is balanced by the heat lost to the surroundings.
