Well, I ve decided to turn one of my old habits back into a routine — walking. I used to walk like ALOT, but now I ve become lazy and tend to choose comfort. Let’s fix this 😁

1. Eat out – to eat at a restaurant We usually eat out on weekends 2. Catch up with – to spend time with someone and talk about recent events I like to catch up with my friends over dinner 3. Unwind – to relax after stress or work She listens to music to unwind after work 4. Cost an arm and a leg – to be very expensive That restaurant costs an arm and a leg 5. Put on weight – to gain weight He started to put on weight after eating fast food regularly 6. Live up to (expectations) – to be as good as expected The movie didn’t live up to the hype 7. Disadvantages:
1. Having exams and tests for young pupils may be very stressful—>For example, parent are prone to compare their children results with that of schoolmates. It leads to the underestimation of their skills, which lowers their confidence and they may lose the interest in study
2. There may be some problems related to the both mental and physical health. For example, in Korea pupils undergo hard-level exams which require nearly 12 hours a day to pass the exam. Afterwards, their lives may become too overwhelmed and ,in some cases, student may commit suicide due to pressure they face
Advantages:
1. They tend to be more experienced academically—>For example, children have more exposure to the tests and they become more mature in comparison to contemporaries who were not involved into the test doing experience from an early age.
2. Doing tests and having exams encourage them—> It helps them to set goals from the childhood to adulthood which helps develop sense of responsibility. For instance, they study hard, for they know that they cannot rely on someone when having an exam, which teaches how to be accountable in their own lives.
3. pupils study hard before an exam to get higher results, and, as a result, they receive the recognition from both parents and teachers —not developed
4. Having an exam shows the progress. Take mock exams in English teaching schools as an example, pupil might compare their previous scores with the new ones. Consequently, they may be able to identify their weak points and work on them.
Childern have more and more tests and exams to do at school, sometimes starting from the age of five or six right up untill the age of eighteen. What are the advantages and disadvantages if making childern do exams
