This club will bring together students, grad students, young researchers, and professors who are passionate about creating innovative projects in the energy sector. Energy clubs are already thriving in 11 universities across Russia, and now Skoltech is joining the movement! All clubs are backed by Energotechnohub St. Petersburg – an ecosystem that helps energy startups grow big and strong. With direct access to industry experts from major companies, members of the Energy Clubs will gain insights into which technologies are in demand and how to turn their projects into successful businesses. What’s on the Agenda? The Skoltech Energy Club plans to host a variety of events: themed festivals, networking sessions, expert lectures, workshops on tech entrepreneurship, and other hands-on educational meetups! «Tech Brokers: Science in Action» – a new project supported by the Ministry of Education and Science! The mission of the project is to create a dynamic platform that unites cutting-edge scientific innovations with the needs of businesses, paving the way for a successful future. 1. A Comprehensive Catalog of Innovations: Showcase your scientific developments and attract opportunities for their implementation! This catalog will be accessible to potential business clients, including tech entrepreneurs, investors, top executives, and corporate leaders. 2. A Grand Online Event at the End of November: Present your inventions to potential business clients and anyone interested in Russian scientific advancements. This is your chance to shine! The project is currently in its development phase. Check it out at наукавделе.рф and explore the project presentation. Key Highlights: 1. Organisers are engaging active tech brokers, entrepreneurs, and corporations, and discussions are underway with venture investors and renowned business clubs for participation. 2. A media campaign is scheduled for November, aiming to reach 7 million people! 3. The project is collecting inventions from scientists, preparing them for publication on the platform. To feature your development in the catalog, please fill out the form: Application Form. At the end of November, organisers will select 10 inventions whose authors will present them to tech brokers and potential business clients. Dear students, many of you came for comments on the announcement from student department on the new Scholarship for SaT (Startup-as-Thesis) program. As this program is added to the E&I quota, there is some combinatorial magic that indeed would benefit from clarification. So below comes the explanation. Please keep asking questions. Year-long E&I Scholarships are awarded for three distinct objective measurable achievements: ❶ Becoming a shareholder/founder of an OOO legal entity that successfully passed the formal expertise for either SkFoundation residence or FASIE grant. Please note that students must become shareholder/founder BEFORE OOO becomes Sk resident or receives the FASIE grant. If you join later, you are not eligible, ❷ Becoming SaT track students as per decision of the biannual SaT Committee, ❸ Becoming author/inventor on the patent that is licensed from Skoltech and the first payment is done. Please note that simply patent inventorship does not make you eligible. Now we have these three components interacting inside the E&I scholarship quota that is 30 thousand RUR per month for a year. Below are the examples of combinatorics: ➔ Startup #1 = 20 kRUR/month for a year ➔ SaT = 10 kRUR/month for a year ➔ Patent = 20 kRUR/month for a year ➔ Startup#1 + Startup#2 = 30 kRUR/month for a year ➔ SaT + Startup#1 = 30 kRUR/month for a year ➔ Startup#1 + patent = 30 kRUR/month for a year Hope it helps.
