| 7 | Here's the Conference Schedule for this August Weekend at The Salafi Masjid, Wright Street, Small Heath, Birmingham.
Please take a good look at the lecture timings. Even Friday is filled with classes and benefits—so join us this Friday (at Jumu'ah), and stay around till Sunday.
Meet others who have the same desire to learn the teachings of the Qur'ān and Sunnah as understood by the Companions of the Prophet (ﷺ).
Above all, this conference focuses on Tasfiyah (Purification) and Tarbiyah (Cultivation) of Muslims, which, in turn, will bring them closer to their Lord (the Most High).
So, spread the word, and come along with family and friends—and enjoy the weekend.
Share this post far and wide; may Allah bless you. | 235 |

| 9 | no-one said it was going to be easy. as you start practicing islām the way the Companions did, people will call you all sorts and accuse you of many things. you’ll slowly be left out of your old friend groups, forsaken. your family may turn away from you, not wanting anything to do with you. you may have periods where you have no-one by your side, fighting trials alone.
be patient and seek His Reward.
trousers now slightly higher than usual? no longer wanting to be in photographs? no interest in free mixing or ḥarām relationships? you’ll get stares and laughs from the people, as if obeying Allāh is somewhat unknown and strange to them.
be patient and seek His Reward.
even within the field of da’wah, shayaṭīn, innovators and ḥizbīs will team up to throw insults and names towards you and call you fitnah-makers for simply adhering strictly to the principles and manhaj of the salaf.
be patient and seek His Reward.
alḥamdulillāh we don’t let our emotions control our thoughts and actions, we are with the truth, whoever it is with and wherever it is. we don’t throw anyone “off the manhaj” or takfīr anyone who refutes our favourite shaykh, we act upon proofs and evidences.. not opinions. we do not fear the blame of the blamers.
don’t pay attention to those who throw emotions at you when they make a mistake, making up lies and accusing you of things you never did.. also don’t expect people to take your advice well.
be patient and seek His Reward.
i remind you of a few āyāt in sūrah fussilat:
Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is Allah" and then remained on a right course - the angels will descend upon them, [saying], "Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised.
We [angels] were your allies in worldly life and [are so] in the Hereafter. And you will have therein whatever your souls desire, and you will have therein whatever you request [or wish]
"An entertainment from (Allāh), the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."
And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims."
The good deed and the evil deed cannot be equal. Repel (the evil) with one which is better (i.e. Allah ordered the faithful believers to be patient at the time of anger, and to excuse those who treat them badly), then verily! he, between whom and you there was enmity, (will become) as though he was a close friend.
But none is granted it except those who are patient, and none is granted it except one having a great portion [of good].
verses 30-35 | thenoblequran.com
and the statement of Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله):
“The people of Islām are strangers amongst mankind.
—And the believers are strangers amongst the people of Islām.
—And the people of knowledge are strangers amongst the believers.
—And the people of the Sunnah who separate it from the desires and innovations are strangers.
—And those who call to it and have patience upon the harm of the opposers, they are the severest of them (all) in strangeness.”
However, they are the people of Allāh in truth. There is no strangeness for them (in reality), (rather) their strangeness is only in relation to the majority about whom Allāh, the Mighty and Majestic, said:
وَإِن تُطِعْ أَكْثَرَ مَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ يُضِلُّوكَ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ
If you were to obey most of those upon the Earth they would misguide you from the path of Allāh.
So the ones (mentioned in the verse) are (the real) strangers to Allāh and His Messenger and their strangeness is the deserting (type of) strangeness even if they are well-known and pointed towards.

| 10 | Reflection Before Bedtime
Children often engage in moral licensing without realising it. Many of us can recall moments from our childhood when we thought that our good deeds somehow would enable us to pull the wool over the eyes of others and escape accountability for a specific naughty or silly behaviour.
For instance, when our mothers—may Allah have mercy upon them, along with our fathers and all departed Muslim parents—would say, ‘I will inform your dad when he gets home,’ we might respond, ‘But Mum, my sibling or cousin was also involved!’ We thought that the misdeeds of others could absolve us of our own wrongdoings or make them less serious.
But even more interesting was the sibling who always started fights and was often reprimanded. Everyone felt a sense of relief when he was in the naughty corner, yet they would still seek attention by claiming, ‘Mum or aunty, Fulan is making faces at me,’ or by positioning their leg in a way that suggested someone had kicked them on purpose! Even if that was the case, they were still told that they deserved their punishment, and the other child would also face consequences. These were just games played by children—boys and girls under the age of accountability.
However, such behaviour is unacceptable in adults who commit crimes, spread discord, bully, or threaten others, all while playing the victim and trying to erase their past actions. If you encounter an adult behaving this way, do not give them a reason to escalate the situation. Even if someone unintentionally provokes them, avoid engaging in verbal exchanges. When they finally show the maturity to acknowledge their wrongs, support their growth. Otherwise, do not entertain their antics, especially when disguised as pursuit of virtue, Da'wah or knowledge.

Al-Hujurat 49:6
O you who believe! If a Fāsiq (liar - evil person) comes to you with any news, verify it, lest you should harm people in ignorance, and afterwards you become regretful for what you have done.

| 17 | Uncle Abdullah, I find this very strange about Uncle Bilal
https://x.com/abdullahjallow9/status/2072237446725861461?s=46 | 375 |
| 18 | Uncle, have you seen what Ustadh Bilal Davis said a few hours ago about the one who has uttered false Tabdee, praised Hisham- the Haddadi, and other matters?!
Response: My nephew, firstly, let me remind you of this beautiful statement of Al-Allamah Rabee, rahimahullah:
"And (with regards to) the person with the proofs, it is obligatory to take his speech (on the grounds) of following Allah’s Legislation and Proofs, and not the personality of that person". [Majmu 9/40]
Secondly, none among us alive at present is safe from Fitna, as Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud, radiyallahu anhu, said:
Finally, do not expect us to be sheep at the age of 55, rather, follow the proofs and not personalities.
