A British policeman has been removed from frontline duty after multiple videos emerged on social media showing officers beating at least three people inside Manchester Airport. The viral videos, in which one officer could be seen stomping on a man's head, are the latest to spark a public and political argument in Britain over whether violence used by police was proportionate or justified. Greater Manchester Police said the footage on social media showed a confrontation that began after three officers were injured in a "violent assault," including one female officer who suffered a broken nose. But the force added that the event seen in the videos was "truly shocking" and an "unusual occurrence," adding it had voluntarily referred its response to Britain's independent police watchdog. A glowing supernova remnant, a nebula shaped like a cat's paw and the iconic "Pillars of Creation" are just a few of the celestial objects that shine in 25 never-before-seen images captured by NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory to mark the telescope's 25th anniversary. Chandra, named in honor of the late Indian American astrophysicist Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar, launched to space aboard the space shuttle Columbia on July 23, 1999. So far, Chandra has taken nearly 25,000 observations of the universe. The telescope observes the cosmos through X-ray light, which is invisible to the human eye. X-rays are released by some of the most energetic events and hottest objects in the universe, including exploded stars, material swirling around black holes, galactic collisions and even exoplanets. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu struck a defiant tone in his address Wednesday to US Congress. He called for America and Israel to stand together as he sought to shore up support for the war in Gaza while blasting critics and Iran. He described anti-war protesters, some of whom gathered this week in Washington, DC, for his address, as “Iran’s useful idiots.” Netanyahu’s speech – in which he also promised to bring hostages home from Gaza but didn’t detail the status of ceasefire negotiations with Hamas – came as the death toll in the enclave nears 40,000, according to the health ministry. US Vice President Kamala Harris skipped Netanyahu’s speech — as did about 80 House Democrats and multiple Democratic senators, according to sources and public statements. Harris will instead meet with the Israeli leader on Thursday. The US has seen protests across the country on college campuses and elsewhere in opposition to the war against Hamas. The Sangamon County State's Attorney's Office released the bodycam of Sonya Massey's final moments before she was shot by a responding officer to the 911 call she made to report an intruder, according to her lawyer. Sean Grayson was indicted by a grand jury last week on three counts of first-degree murder and one count each of aggravated battery with a firearm and official misconduct.
