Almost 48 hours after being shown physically assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in 2016 in a surveillance video obtained exclusively by CNN, Sean "Diddy" Combs has apologized. In a video shared to Instagram, he apologized for an incident he'd previously denied ever happening in the first place. He did not mention Ventura by name. An attorney for Ventura responded in a statement that reads in part, "That he was only compelled to 'apologize' once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words." President Joe Biden addressed the war between Israel and Hamas while delivering a commencement address at Morehouse College, saying he’s called for an “immediate ceasefire to stop the fighting and bring the hostages home.” As Biden began speaking, some attendees took part in a silent protest against his administration’s support for Israel. As officials assess the damage from destructive storms in the Houston area that killed at least seven people and knocked out power amid rising temperatures, residents in the Southeast and Gulf Coast face a severe weather threat through Saturday that could bring another round of excessive rainfall and severe thunderstorms. A tiny, no frills taco stand in Mexico with just four items on its menu has been awarded a star by the coveted Michelin Guide. In "The Last Alzheimer's Patient," CNN chief medical correspondent follows Alzheimer's patient Cici Zerbe, who says her symptoms have been reversed after participating in Dr. Dean Ornish's clinical trial on the effects of intensive lifestyle changes on the progression of mild cognitive impairment or early dementia due to Alzheimer's disease. Proceedings quickly devolved during a House Oversight Committee markup Thursday on holding Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt, with GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Democratic Rep. TikToker Haley Kalil, who goes by HaleyyBaylee online, apologized for posting a video of herself in a Marie Antoinette-inspired dress at the 2024 Met Gala while mouthing a viral audio clip from a 2006 film in which the French queen is portrayed as saying, "Let them eat cake." The post sparked the movement which aims to cut off celebrities' and influencers' online power and digital revenue to pressure them to use their platform to speak about the war in Gaza.

A new exhibit features images of the royal family as you’ve never seen them before. “Royal Portraits: A Century of Photography,” which opened in The King’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace on Friday, has more than 150 items from the Royal Collection and Royal Archives, which chart the evolution of royal portrait photography since the 1920s. The exhibition runs until October. As Queen for 70 years, Elizabeth II was probably one of the most photographed women in history. But almost two years after her death, new pictures of Britain’s longest-reigning monarch emerged as part of the exhibit. Also on show for the first time are several wartime images taken by Cecil Beaton, who captured the royal family on camera over six decades. The NFL is distancing itself from controversial comments by Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker during a recent commencement address. The NFL issued a statement Wednesday, saying Butker’s comments don’t reflect the views of the league. The Chiefs, defending Super Bowl champions and one of the NFL’s marquee teams, have not responded to requests for comment.
