| 5 |  The Trump administration announced on July 22 a civil nuclear deal between the United States and Saudi Arabia that would allow for exports of U.S. nuclear technology to the kingdom.
The deal "takes a distinct approach from the stringent nonproliferation measures the United States has insisted on in the past when exporting nuclear energy," writes expert Erin D. Dumbacher.
"The global nuclear order that the United States has led for 80 years is fraying. If Congress approves this deal, it would accelerate a relaxation of the norms that have kept Americans and citizens around the world safe for the decades we have lived with atomic weapons," she argues.

Over the past six years, the Lublin Triangle has proven to be a highly effective format for cooperation at all levels—from our ministries to our heads of state.
We stand ready to further develop this trilateral format across all dimensions for the security, prosperity, and freedom of our nations—particularly through joint economic and infrastructure projects, enhanced connectivity, and the active participation of Polish and Lithuanian companies in Ukraine’s recovery.
The security challenges facing our countries and the broader region due to Russian aggression against Ukraine remain unprecedented. Maintaining international support for Ukraine and increasing pressure on Russia are critical.
Ukraine is deeply grateful to Poland, Lithuania, and their people, who have steadfastly supported us and provided vital assistance since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
Ukraine’s unique combat experience, technological solutions, and innovative defense industry are of paramount importance to the security of Poland and Lithuania.
