Speaking during a joint press briefing with Netherlands Foreign Affairs Minister Caspar Veldkamp in Nairobi on March 19, Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi confirmed that while the Kenyan government has received official documents outlining Nduta’s charges, Vietnam has not provided any indication on whether the execution can be stopped. Mudavadi clarified that discussions between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by Principal Secretary Korir Sing’oei, and Vietnamese officials remain ongoing, though the focus is on negotiating clemency rather than challenging the court’s verdict.
