Students’ Union Farewell Program for the Graduating Class of 2025
On June 4, the Students’ Union held a heartfelt farewell program in honor of its Higher Executive Senate Members and General Assembly representatives who are part of the 2025 graduating class.
The event, fully organized by the Students’ Union, served as a moment of reflection, gratitude, and celebration of student leadership. During the program:
Members were recognized for their valuable service and contributions to the Union.
Special certificates were awarded for outstanding leadership, with particular emphasis on gender inclusion and equity.
Gifts were presented as tokens of appreciation.
The ceremony was concluded by awarding the prestigious "Student Leadership Excellence Awards", recognizing those who demonstrated exceptional dedication, impact, and vision during their term.
This program not only marked the end of a leadership chapter but also celebrated a legacy of service, unity, and student empowerment.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the President of Haramaya University and the CHMS Higher Executive leadership for their unwavering support, encouragement, and collaboration in making this program and our Union’s work successful.

Heartfelt Appreciation for Our Cafeteria Workers
Today, I stand to express something that comes straight from the heart. To the students' cafeteria workers—thank you.
You feed us with the care of a mother, and your smiles have welcomed us every single day since we joined this college.
You serve us with love, even when we don’t say “thank you.” But today, I want to say it—thank you for being there.
Now, I challenge my fellow students:
If you’ve ever felt the warmth of their kindness,
If you’ve ever been comforted by their presence,
Then take a moment.
Say “thank you.” Smile back. Let them know they matter.
Because appreciation isn’t just felt—it should be shown ❤️.

Leadership, Challenges, and Opportunities
Recently, I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Haylom, the President of the Ethiopia Students Union. He shared invaluable insights on leadership, the challenges of student advocacy, and the opportunities that come with it. His advice resonated deeply with me, reinforcing the importance of being proactive, understanding the political landscape while serving all with fairness, and standing firm in advocating for students' interests within the boundaries of law and university policies.
One of the key takeaways was resilience—learning to navigate criticism with grace and focusing on making a positive impact. Leadership is not just about authority but about responsibility, vision, and the courage to influence change. His words, "Be a great master of your fate," remind me that true leadership is about taking control of our path and shaping the future we believe in.
As I continue my journey as the Students' Union President, I am more committed than ever to serving with integrity, advocating for students, and fostering meaningful change. Together, we can build a stronger and more united student community.

The dedication and teamwork displayed by everyone involved in these initiatives are truly commendable. The Coffee Ceremony Team created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, embodying our culture of hospitality. The Peace Forum Team went above and beyond, supporting us throughout the month of Iftar with unwavering commitment, ensuring that the spirit of togetherness and generosity flourished. For the Eid Program, their efforts in decorating made the celebration even more vibrant and memorable. Lastly, the Diversity Affairs head and a Head of Finance and Tresure played a crucial role in facilitating the ceremony, ensuring smooth coordination and effective communication.
Your collective dedication has not only strengthened our community bonds but also set an inspiring example of service and collaboration. Thank you for your hard work and commitment!

Call for Support
As you can see from this support paper, our mother, Mrs. Ilfinash Admaasu, a employee of the village camp, is being treated in the hospital for the fact that her two kidneys had stopped working.
They are appealing to you for help as the hospital costs are beyond their means.
So let us all reach out to what we have and save our mother from death. It is said, "The squirrel helps each other and hid the deer. A money you have raised can sit on each other and save an unanswered soul from death.
