For a decade, MAGA has been unified around the central idea that the Uniparty exists, and that it stands opposed to the agenda represented by Donald Trump. And yet ... Republican trust in Media (self-reported) is growing. This is not a good thing. The Deep State is bipartisan.

If you'll recall, throughout the summer, one topic I was writing about consistently concerned the concept of the Dirty Break. So, before I refresh you on what I projected as the potential endgame of said strategy (which is absolutely in the offing ... I hope,) let me first refresh you on the refresher as to what it even means. The Dirty Break is a term coined a decade ago seeking to assign a name to the core animating engine of the Democratic Socialists of America. That said, I found the framing striking not so much as applied to the so-called Left, but more so when applied to the so-called Right, as I have long speculated that Donald Trump's political endgame COULD represent a sort of 'Dirty Break' from the institutional Right in favor of full public adherence to the MAGA agenda we all supported in the first place, not so very long ago. No Thucydides trap for you, Mr. Deep State, Sir!
