He has a law firm and wants me to build a CRM automation flow.
The idea is to connect forms, LinkedIn, GHL, Paperclip, and AI agents. Whenever someone comments on or interacts with a LinkedIn post, submits a form through GHL, or fills out a form on his website, GHL should capture and store the lead.
Then Paperclip will handle the conversation side, like sending emails, explaining the company, and following up with the lead.
When someone submits a request to the law firm, AI agents will analyze it, decide the next steps, contact the owner when needed, and store/update the lead back in GHL.
Basically, it is a full lead capture, follow-up, and client intake automation system for the law firm.

Guess where we are guys, there’s literally no wifi anywhere around campus, so we ended up going to the art school and asked some random guy to let us use his studio😄, and now we’re just here looking at amazing art and hearing music too also amazing wifi. Art school is way more fun fr😊.

Finally done 😭 I’ve been on the GHL + Telegram + Paperclip integration for like 5 hours and it’s working now.
Main issue was honestly Paperclip, it’s still pretty new, a lot of stuff is still under development, and some parts are unfinished, so I had to do a bunch of workarounds to make everything connect properly.
And the funniest part is the client just asks ChatGPT if something is possible, and if ChatGPT says yes(which it always does), then I’m the one who has to actually build it 😭😭
ChatGPT really is my enemy at this point.

I opened an issue on the Paperclip GitHub.
I was trying to connect Paperclip to Telegram from a Docker container on a VPS. The flow was straight forward install the Telegram plugin, authenticate the CLI, and continue the setup.
The problem showed up during the auth step inside a headless container (no browser). Paperclip tried to open the auth URL with xdg-open, but that command wasn’t available in the container, so the CLI crashed before the auth flow could finish.
Because of that, it would still fail even if I manually opened the URL, approved it in the browser, and came back to the terminal, the process was already dead.
My temporary workaround was pretty simple, I downloaded the module directly inside the running container first, so I could at least move forward without depending on the failing xdg-open auth flow right away.

Not all upwork clients are nice😌
"lets make sure you explain this to me since I don't even know how to use it. that is the reason I hire you. if I cant get this I will have to dispute your work and honestly I'm not looking to damage your profile but this make no sense to me if I can use it . besides it was suppose to be integrated into GHL and is not"

So story time
Back when I was a freshman, before I knew how to code, I was trying to build this tutorial platform for high school and campus students. Kinda like a mini startup. I wanted to add a bot too, and at the time that felt like straight up magic to me. Like impossible-level hard.
So I hired someone to build it, but he was busy and the work honestly wasn’t that good. At some point I was just like nah, forget it, I’m gonna build this myself. And once I actually learned how to do it… bro it was way easier than I thought.
That’s really the whole point. Even me, someone who’s know some basic computer stuff at the time, used to look at tech products like they were some crazy impossible thing. A lot of business owners see it the same way. To them, this stuff feels super complex and mysterious.
So don’t be scared to reach out, offer your service, and say “yo, I can build this for you.” And yes, charge good money too, because a lot of people are paying for something they genuinely don’t understand how to make themselves.

Finally got my client fully satisfied 😮💨
Had to do a bunch of workarounds and infra-level changes, even republished the official n8n image to Docker Hub so I could run it my way. After all that refactoring, he loved the system, left me a really good review, and even gave me another project.
Big W honestly.

Guys, some of you have been asking me how to get started on Upwork. Honestly, I don’t have that much experience yet, I’ve only done about 5 or 6 jobs and started around 2 months ago.
Most of my work come through my friend Samuel, a 5th-year student at ASTU.
So I was thinking, maybe I could host a small podcast or casual talk with him here in our channel so we can all learn more together. What do you guys think? React and let me know 👀

🚨 URGENT: An Ethiopian Dev is #1 in the World - We Need to Hold the Line! 🇪🇹
Selam devs,
A 24-year-old solo developer from Addis Ababa just beat 10,000 global teams to reach the finals of the Amazon (AWS) AIdeas Challenge.
He built Ivy an offline-capable AI tutor for Ethiopian students on $80 Android phones.
Right now, Ivy is Ranked #1 Globally. But a massive corporate team from India is only 29 votes behind, mobilizing their universities to overtake us tonight.
We cannot let Ethiopia lose this. The US has Silicon Valley. India has Bangalore. Ivy has us.
