| 3 | This song feels like a memory I never actually remember
It takes me back to my KG days not through a specific event but through something deeper almost like what psychologists call IMPLICIT MEMORY a feeling stored some where before I was old enough to understand what was happening... I don’t remember the exact days yet the song somehow remembers them for me I do know how...
It reminds me of my old self snd school I remember reaching the tower near the water tanker and looking toward the sunset convincing myself that somewhere beyond that horizon was my school (sounds carzy ) I would stare at it as if I could actually see it from there. Back then that place felt like the edge of the entire world. Everything I knew existed somewhere beyond that view...
That place was like heaven..The sky would slowly turn red like someone had taken a piece of the evening and sliced it open letting the last color of the day bleed across the clouds... We would play run around exist without knowing that one day those ordinary afternoons would become something we could only return to through a song Maybe that is why this track feels so strange to me....maybe
It doesn't remind me of a memory
It reminds me of being someone who once had those memories And the strange part is the song wasn't even released when I was 6 or when I was in KG... I was living those days before this song even came out. That's probably what makes it feel even more weird to me... how can something that came after those memories somehow feel like it belongs to them | 43 |
