For those of you who’ve been here a while, you probably know this is something I’ve struggled with:
I’ll come up with an idea I love — something I’m genuinely excited about — but then I find out that a bunch of websites or apps have already built it. And just like that, I scrap the project and give up.
But working at my current company has completely changed how I see that.
Not only are we aware of our competitors — we actually have a whole Slack channel dedicated to tracking them. We constantly analyze what they’re doing better, what we’re doing better, and we use that insight to evolve our product every single day.
And you know what? That mindset has helped us build something better than what we originally set out to create.
So if you’re working on something and discover someone else already did it — don’t let that stop you. Let it push you to go even further. ✨

Repost from Such is Life
The only difference between charisma and flirting is your end goal. Otherwise, they're literally the same thing. You can either get a wife or a quick kebele process with it

So growing up
One of my first books was "The cuckoo clock of doom " from the goosebumps series by RL Stine
Its about this kid whose family buys an antique clock and he tampers with it and it makes it so that every day he wakes up, he's one year younger and time travels backwards
At first he has his fun but soon he realises unless he stops it, he'll stops it, he'll soon stop to exist
And it was a wonderful read , I recommend it to anyone
But because of the bird on the cover , i read the entire book imagining all characters to be talking birds (even though now i realize that they were completely human)

Today was a wonderful event
Im grateful to everyone that came and enjoyed the event , the amount of thank you for preparing the event texts im getting is ridiculous
Making me emotional
I wanna give the biggest shout-out to my gdg team that worked tirelessly to bring this event into reality despite the constant bureaucracy and hardship we were facing
And congratulations to our Hackathon winners
I hope this event influences your career the way they did for me when i was starting out

Repost from DoniVerse
Me and @SoloDevChronicles both somehow misread the time of our project defense and showed up at 8 AM, even though we were supposed to be there at 4 PM. Neither of us checked with the other — we just coincidentally made the same mistake.
It turned out to be for the better cause after seeing some other people's projects, we got the inspiration to build out a GUI for our project.
After scouring to setup visual studio and MASM on my machine, we gave up and turned to updating my WSL to support Tkinter. We had a fun vibe coding session and ended up with satisfying updates.
Post defense all our teammates were happy, so it was a greate success.I’m pretty sure none of us would’ve actually worked on the project if we were doing it alone. But honestly, showing up 8 hours early wasn’t just a dumb mistake — it was God’s grace. If we hadn’t been there early, we probably would’ve gotten a rough rejection. There were other teams trying to build file encryption tools too, but we ended up standing out with multi-file type support and a GUI.
