But sometimes life quietly switches the roles; the next day, I was the one caught off guard by something unexpectedly lovely.
He lives in another country, miles away from me, and somehow, despite all that distance, he managed to send me a beautiful, enormous bouquet of flowers.
To be honest, I had never imagined him as the kind of person who would buy flowers, send someone a bouquet, or even think about these little gestures. Perhaps that’s why I was more surprised by the thought itself than by the flowers. It felt like discovering a side of someone I thought I already knew, a little corner of his kindness I had never seen before.
And isn't it strange and lovely how sometimes people can make you feel so close, even when they're living in a completely different part of the world?
I think some gifts are more than just gifts. They're little reminders that people can still surprise you, that someone can think of you without being asked, and that kindness sometimes finds its way to your door without making a sound.
I called that night hoping to make his world a little softer. The next day, a bouquet arrived at mine. ♡ | 200 |
