አንወሻሽ — campus convos usually go like: “Hey” “ሰላም” “ስንተኛ አመት ነሽ?” “3” “ዎ እያለቀ ነዋ…” 🙂‍↕️ *awkward silence* 👀 Time to upgrade the vibe. THE TABLE is where dope conversations happen — without the cringe. See you @ LR601 this Saturday 2-4pm. https://t.me/TheTable_2025

The Table - 2nd Edition

🤔 Philosophy
1. Is the reality we perceive truly real or merely an illusion? 2. If every atom in your body were replaced over time, would you remain the same person? 3. Do we genuinely exercise free will, or are all our actions predetermined? 4. How can subjective experience arise from purely physical brain processes? 5. Can morality exist without objective standards, or is all ethics culturally relative? 6. Must life have an intrinsic purpose, or is meaning something we create ourselves? 7. Are mind and body fundamentally separate substances or one unified phenomenon? 8. Is time a real feature of the universe or just a mental construct? 9. Can we ever truly know anything, or is all belief ultimately uncertain? 10. Can suffering be inherently meaningful, and if so, what role does it play in our lives?

🙏🏽 Religion
1. Is faith a choice if you’re raised in it? Can indoctrination be undone? 2. Can faith be considered rational if it requires belief without empirical evidence? 3. Do religious experiences point to a transcendent reality, or are they solely products of the human mind? 4. Is it possible for multiple, conflicting religious traditions to each hold genuine truth? 5. Does the moral authority of religious texts endure unchanged across different cultures and eras? 6. Can spirituality exist independently of organized religion, or are institutions necessary for meaning? 7. If prayer truly works, why do unanswered prayers often go unexplained? 8. Does belief in an afterlife diminish the value of our earthly existence? 9. Are ethical values derived from religion universally binding, or must they evolve with society? 10. Can science and religion ever be fully reconciled, or are they fundamentally at odds?

💰 Making Money
1. Is it possible to become wealthy without exploiting others, systems, or the environment? Where would you draw the line for profit? 2. Why do society reward some jobs (e.g., CEOs, influencers) disproportionately compared to essential roles (e.g., teachers, nurses)? How would you redesign this? 3. Studies show money boosts happiness only up to a point. What’s your ‘enough’—and how does it shift with age or responsibilities? 4. Is wealth a legacy to pass down or a privilege to dismantle? How would you raise children to value money without entitlement? 5. Would you rather chase a risky passion project or maintain a stable, unfulfilling job to protect your family? What makes the tradeoff worth it? 6. Is “do what you love" realistic, or a privilege only some can afford? 7. Does "enough money" exist? How does lifestyle inflation distort this? 8. Is crypto/NFT investing, gambling or a legit strategy? 9. Are side hustles exploitation (e.g., gig work) or empowerment? 10. Is entrepreneurship over-glorified? When is a stable job the wiser choice?

Sneak Peak from Edition #2 1. Is entrepreneurship over-glorified? When is a stable job the wiser choice? 2. Is faith a choice if you’re raised in it? Can indoctrination be undone? 3. Is suffering necessary for growth, or do we just rationalize it? You have been invited. Follow our channel for more - https://t.me/TheTable_2025 Zelalem Amare Council President
