| 7 | 🟣 My Personal Q3–Q4 2026 Meta / Instagram Platform Experience
I'd like to share some of my personal experiences with Meta / Instagram during Q3–Q4 2026 for the members of OFM Asia.
Please keep in mind that these are strictly my own observations and experiences, so they may not necessarily be the definitive answers. I hope some of this information proves useful to you.
1. Link Ban (Link Restriction)
This restriction was introduced in Q1 2026 and typically appears as a warning stating that you cannot share links for 30 days. However, this is a restriction on link sharing, not a shadowban on the account itself.
It can usually be resolved quite easily by completing the following verification steps:
CAPTCHA → SMS verification code → Email verification code. Since we're barely seeing this issue anymore in Q4, it appears that Meta may have already addressed it through a hotfix or patch.
2. Link Shadowban / Bio Shadowban
Since Q2–Q3 2026, Instagram has increasingly been shadowbanning accounts simply for placing links in their bios or Highlights. Initially, the restrictions mainly targeted links shared in bios, but more recently, Highlights have also become a target. You can identify this type of shadowban through Account Status, where you'll see that your account's reach to non-followers has been restricted. In most cases, removing your bio, Highlights, and all links, then waiting, will restore the account within approximately 24 hours. Your Account Status should return to green.
3. Posting Ban
This appears to be a new Instagram restriction introduced toward the end of Q2 2026. If you continuously publish approximately 2–5 Reels back-to-back without taking breaks, Instagram may temporarily block your account from posting Reels altogether for 1–3 days.
One workaround is to log in through Meta Business Suite and publish from there, which can successfully bypass the posting restriction. However, I do not recommend doing this repeatedly, as Instagram may classify the activity as spam, potentially resulting in a permanent account suspension.
Accounts with a history of regularly mass posting content in this manner tend to trigger these restrictions even faster. Importantly, this posting ban primarily applies to regular Reels.
Instagram is significantly more lenient with posting activity when it comes to photo posts. Additionally, based on our experience, Trial Reels are not affected by this particular posting restriction.
For this reason, our current posting strategy is:
Regular Reels: 3–5 per account per day, spread across 2–3 separate posting sessions rather than uploaded consecutively. We typically post one or two Reels per session.
Trial Reels: Depending on the account's condition, we publish anywhere from 5 to 10 or more Trial Reels per day.
4. Highlights Ban
This is another restriction Meta appears to have introduced in late September.
Accounts can get shadowbanned when a Story containing a link CTA is saved to their profile Highlights.
In response, some agencies have been experimenting with alternative funnel structures.
For example, some place an X (Twitter) link on Instagram and then put the OnlyFans link in their X bio, effectively creating a two-step funnel. Others have removed Highlights entirely and simply keep their CTA Stories active for 24 hours.
However, as you probably already know, the conversion rates are dogshit.
A few people I know are currently developing and testing methods that appear to allow them to safely place links in Highlights, and even systems that allow links to remain in Instagram bios without triggering restrictions.
But they have specifically asked me not to disclose how these methods work, or even share their existence with others. I intend to respect their wishes. If they eventually give me permission to share those methods publicly, I'll share them here as well.
5. Integrity Ban
The aggressive and seemingly indiscriminate ban waves that became particularly severe in February appear to be gradually returning to more normal levels. At the moment, our agency is not experiencing any significant issues with permanent account suspensions.
6. Human Verification / Security Lock
These are restrictions you may occasionally encounter when operating newly created accounts or logging into accounts that have been inactive for a long time from a new device.
Unlike cases where the actual content creator must personally complete identity verification or biometric facial verification, there are also verification challenges where any person can complete the facial verification process.
These are essentially anti spam measures intended to verify that a real human is operating the Instagram account. In such cases, the model does not necessarily need to complete the facial verification personally.
Security Lock is a similar situation. When this happens, the account may disappear from Instagram search results, making it appear as though it has been permanently banned.But the account can return to normal once the required verification process is completed.
There are also frustrating cases where an error prevents you from proceeding with the Security Lock verification process. If you encounter this particular issue, feel free to message me, and I'll send you an SOP that can help resolve it.
7. Repurposing Content
I have two separate SOPs for repurposing content:
Photo content / Reels
I'll be sharing both of these SOPs with the group and through my personal channel soon.
8. Login
When logging into an Instagram account on a new device, always disable your proxy or VPN and use mobile data or a mobile hotspot for the initial login.
Using a VPN or proxy for your regular Instagram operations is generally fine.
But when logging in from a new device, Instagram appears to detect most VPN connections and may block the login attempt. In many cases, Instagram will incorrectly display a message suggesting that the username or account does not exist.
For the initial login, use a clean setup without a VPN or proxy. After successfully logging in, allow the account to cool down for approximately 2–3 days. Then gradually introduce your VPN or proxy and slowly begin normal account operations. | 499 |

OnlyFans CEO Says Creator Banking Products, an In-House Discovery Feed, and an IPO Are All on the Table
OnlyFans CEO Keily Blair told Fortune that the platform plans to offer financial services to its 2.5 million creators and is considering an IPO (Initial Public Offering), using Reddit's public listing as a model.
She also revealed that OnlyFans has begun testing its own content discovery algorithm in the Netherlands.
OnlyFans generated $1.55 billion in revenue in 2025.
Blair said OnlyFans could offer creators financial products that traditional banks do not provide. She explained that this is because the company has full visibility into the content being created on its platform.
She has personally experienced difficulties accessing financial services. A bank once rejected her simply because she was the CEO of OnlyFans, and the company itself nearly lost access to mainstream financial services.
According to Fortune, OnlyFans generated $1.55 billion in revenue in 2025, representing its 20% share of the $7.85 billion in total transactions processed on the platform.
Blair cited Reddit's 2024 IPO as the closest comparable model and described OnlyFans as a social media platform with a high concentration of adult content.
No IPO date has been announced yet.
The content discovery feature currently being tested in the Netherlands represents a particularly significant development.
Until now, OnlyFans fans have relied almost entirely on X, Reddit, and other external platforms to discover creators and find their way to OnlyFans.
However, this test marks the first time OnlyFans has begun directly determining which creators are shown to fans within its own platform.
At present, neither the financial products nor the IPO have materialized. Both remain future plans outlined by the CEO.
