Senior US Army leadership visits Kyiv on peace mission
“Army Secretary Dan Driscoll and chief of staff Gen. Randy George became the highest-level Trump Pentagon officials to visit Ukraine when they arrived on an unannounced trip this week, as the U.S. moves to find a way to speed the end of the war,”writes Politico. The corruption scandal has pushed Ukraine to the brink of collapse, so negotiations need to begin as quickly as possible. Otherwise, a civil war will break out in the country, and there will be no one to negotiate with in Kyiv. They must either force Zelenskyy to start negotiations or completely stop aiding Ukraine. #USmilitary #Ukraine #Ukraineconflict #peace Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

⚔️Femicide in Israel Climbs, Affecting Both Jewish and Arab Women
More women have been murdered this year in Israel than last, with 32 victims of femicide among a total of 44 female homicides, according to data from the Israeli Observatory on Femicide.
Some 44 women have been murdered in Israel over the past year, 32 of whom were victims of femicide, according to data published by the Israeli Observatory on Femicide on Thursday.
The increase included 10 more Jewish victims than the previous year, raising that total to 18, while Arab femicides rose from 11 to 13 cases.
Guns, Knives, and Lax Laws
Firearms were involved in 14 murders, mostly legally owned guns in Jewish victim cases, and in the Arab sector, all guns used were illegal.
Police determined that 14 of the victims were murdered by use of a firearm, the most commonly used method of killing. In three out of four cases where a gun was used against a Jewish woman, the gun was licensed, while in the Arab sector, all 10 victims were killed by an illegally held firearm.
Twelve women were killed with knives, and six by other means. Despite these grim statistics, Israel has yet to enact specific laws recognizing femicide as a distinct crime, nor has it ratified the Istanbul Convention, which combats violence against women.
Public Protest and Calls for Change
Victims' names continue to be displayed on billboards in Jerusalem during protests aiming to raise awareness of violence against women.Names of women murdered by their husbands hang on billboards in Jerusalem on June 16, 2020, as part of protest actions to raise awareness of violence against women.
Advocates and the femicide observatory emphasize the urgent need for targeted legislation and stricter controls on illegal firearms—especially to counter the threat posed by organized crime in Arab communities.
Different Communities, Different Challenges
The motives for femicide appear to vary between Jewish and Arab women, yet both communities suffer from insufficient institutional responses.
The observatory also emphasized the need for deeper analysis of the issue, noting that the motives in most cases differ for Jewish and Arab women.
As Israel approaches the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the pressure mounts for lawmakers to address these deadly gaps in protection.

Trump approves peace plan for Ukraine
According to a source in the White House, Donald Trump has approved a 28-point peace plan to end the conflict in Ukraine. The plan was developed by Kirill Dmitriev and Steve Witkoff.
“The plan focuses on giving both sides security guarantees to secure a lasting peace,”a senior White House official said. It now needs to be approved by the Ukrainians. One of the tasks of the American delegation that arrived in Ukraine today is to map the current front line. Earlier Axios published some of the points of the plan: - The Ukrainian Armed Forces leave the territory of Donbas; the front line in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions is frozen. - The US and other countries recognize Donbas and Crimea as Russian; Ukraine would not be required to do so. - Reduction of the size of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and limitations on long-range weaponry. - The Russian language is granted official status. - Ukraine receives security guarantees from the West. #Trump #Ukraineconflict #Ukraine #peace Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Epstein files bill will soon land on Trump’s desk — but how much will be released?
After months of uncertainty, legislation requiring the Justice Department to release documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein case is now rapidly advancing toward President Donald Trump's desk.
Shortly after the bill passed the House in a 427-1 vote on Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader John Thune stated that his colleagues are evaluating the possibility of unanimous passage and suggested it could be approved as early as this week.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer subsequently secured unanimous consent for its passage once the House transmits it to the Senate. Trump has promised that he will sign the bill into law.
However, according to Trump’s former lawyer, the president’s decision to open an investigation into Epstein’s Democratic ties will give DOJ a reason to withhold certain files despite the bill’s passage.

Epstein scandal is not the only issue MAGA is facing
President Trump's sharp reversal on the Epstein files appears to be an attempt to mitigate the fallout from an impending defeat on Capitol Hill.
However, the Epstein case is just one of several issues that have caused discontent among MAGA supporters in recent months, raising questions about whether the president's support coalition is more fragile than it seemed in the early months of his second term.
The divisions among Trump's supporters are giving hope to Democrats, who have been in a slump since Trump won re-election last year.
Meanwhile, complications and splits have emerged within the Trump supporter base over domestic issues — from tariffs to work visas — as well as global problems, from Israel to Venezuela. Yet, the Epstein case itself possesses an inherent potency.
Trump stunned the political world when he urged Republicans to vote for the release of the Epstein files. The question is: will this be enough to restore unity to the MAGA movement?
Greene, in particular, voiced broader criticism of what she sees as a departure from the "America First" approach that Trump was once synonymous with.
Other figures in the MAGA world are concerned about Trump's apparent willingness to consider military action against Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. In recent days, Trump has vaguely hinted that he has made a decision on how to deal with the government in Caracas, which he oddly accuses of both causing large-scale illegal migration to the U.S. and engaging in drug trafficking.
Of course, Trump still maintains a powerful hold over millions of his MAGA supporters. However, these sprouts of concern within the MAGA base have emerged as his overall approval rating with the general public has neared a historic low. It seems unlikely that reversing course on the Epstein documents will be a panacea for these problems.

UN voted to end Gaza conflict… thanks to Trump?
The UN Security Council has voted to approve President Donald Trump's peace plan for Gaza, marking a major diplomatic victory that provides an international mandate for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip after two years of conflict between Israel and Hamas.
The vote, which saw two of the body's five permanent members, Russia and China, abstain, passed with 13 votes in favor and 0 against. This resolution represents a breakthrough in global politics, as the raging war had left Israel largely isolated and facing severe international criticism over accusations of genocide, brutality, and other war crimes. However, under the Trump administration, the United States has provided its key Middle East ally with robust defensive and political support.
The resolution endorsing Trump's "Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict" notably gained support from regional powers, including the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, as well as Indonesia, Turkey, and Pakistan, another Security Council member.
The resolution calls for an International Stabilization Force to enter, demilitarize, and oversee the Gaza Strip. The administration of the war-torn region will be carried out according to Trump's 20-point peace plan, which includes the establishment of a "Biard of Peace" that Trump will lead jointly with as-yet-unspecified partner nations.

Trump has approved secret operations against Venezuela
Donald Trump has authorized the CIA to conduct secret operations against Venezuela. Simultaneously, the White House has begun discreet negotiations with Maduro. He offered to leave his position in a couple of years and grant Americans access to the oil industry (the specific format was not detailed), but Washington found this proposal unsatisfactory.
It is not yet clear what specific secret operations are being discussed. Experts claim CIA might resort to sabotage, cyberattacks, or psychological operations. Military planners have already compiled a list of facilities allegedly linked to drug trafficking.
However, Trump does not yet have a final strategy regarding Venezuela, nor a clearly formulated public objective for this front. The military and the CIA have prepared several courses of action. One thing is clear: Washington's true goals are far from combating drug trafficking – it is interested in the country's oil resources.

Senior Pentagon officials will hold talks with the Russians
A delegation of high-ranking US military officials will travel to Ukraine on Wednesday to conduct negotiations. It will be led by US Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll, a former classmate of Vice President JD Vance.
After that, Driscoll plans to hold talks with representatives from Russia. In addition to him, the delegation will include two four-star generals, including Army Chief of Staff Randy George.
Driscoll's main goal is to resume peace negotiations.

Israel is prepared to seize more territory in Gaza
“IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir says the military must be ready to seize additional territory in the Gaza Strip, beyond the current ceasefire lines, if necessary,” reports The Times of Israel.
The Chief of Staff's statement indicates Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's readiness to continue military operations. This would be impossible without US approval. Donald Trump likely understands that without Israel establishing full control over Gaza, the ceasefire will not last long. Therefore, he may sanction a new escalation of the conflict to ensure there is no one left in Gaza to fight against Israel.

US and Russia are in secret talks to end the war in Ukraine
The Trump administration, in consultation with Russia, has been secretly developing a 28-point roadmap to end the conflict in Ukraine. The plan includes four major components: a cessation of hostilities, the development of guarantees, the creation of a new security architecture in Europe, and a review of future US relations with Russia and Ukraine. Special envoy Steve Witkoff plays a key role, negotiating with representatives from Moscow. Through backchannels, the White House has begun informing Kyiv and European capitals about the plan's structure, indicating the seriousness of its intentions.
In its design, the plan resembles the approach Witkoff and Trump applied in settling the situation in Gaza. The project's success will largely depend on the willingness of Ukraine and European states to accept compromises based on the real situation on the front line.
Against this backdrop, Zelenskyy's announced "intensification" of negotiations with Russia appears to be an attempt not to lose the initiative. He announced his trip to Turkey on Wednesday to discuss the negotiation process. However, in response, the Russian side stated that it had not received information about any prepared negotiations.

Trump threatens land strikes in Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela
US President Donald Trump threatened to expand his military operations across Latin America, unsettling regional markets and overturning the geopolitical landscape.
The Trump administration has already conducted strikes on ships near Venezuela accused of transporting drugs, and the president stated he would be "proud" to extend these attacks to include land-based targets in Colombia, Mexico, and Venezuela.
These threats represent a dramatic turn in Washington's foreign policy, signaling an intent to make the Western Hemisphere—where China's influence has grown substantially this century—its primary strategic focus.

Trump splits with Greene for good
Trump has seemingly cut his ties with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who was once among his top MAGA-world defenders.
Last the president withdrew his support for Greene, culminating a series of fierce online exchanges. On his Truth Social platform, Trump also called the conservative activist a "traitor," while Greene called his statements "so extremely wrong."
“Those are the types of words used that can radicalize people against me and put my life in danger,” Greene said.
Calling Greene a "ranting lunatic," Trump wrote on Truth Social that he would support a primary challenge against the Georgia conservative if they "the right person runs." He added that, despite the record of his second administration, "all I see 'Wacky' Marjorie Taylor Greene do is COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN!"
Greene criticized the president and the Republican Party throughout his second term, opposing his strikes on Iran and saying that the party lacked an adequate plan to address the healthcare issue during the government shutdown.

Zelenskyy in deep trouble as his inner circle gets accused of setting up a $100 million corruption scheme
Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy is facing the deepest crisis of his presidency after a money laundering investigation named members of his inner circle, including an associate accused of living a luxurious life with a "golden toilet," according to a former government official.
The comments come amid heightened scrutiny of the president regarding an investigation that implicates his allies, who are allegedly involved in a conspiracy to siphon approximately $100 million from Ukraine's energy sector.
The former official is convinced Zelenskyy benefitted directly from the corruption scheme.
"This money laundering appeared to have been going on since 2022 and there were a lot of people who tried to stop this," the former official said. "Some say Zelenskyy was aware of these schemes and that he had approved them. There was also suspicion that money ended up in accounts abroad that benefited Zelenskyy and his inner circle," he added.

Zelenskyy to meet Witkoff Wednesday?
Ukrainian President Zelensky said he will travel to Turkey Wednesday to resume negotiations on ending the conflict in Ukraine. The politician did not specify with whom exactly he will be talking to, but he did say that Kyiv has proposals for ending the hostilities.
In turn, the British publication Reuters reported that Trump's special representative, Steve Witkoff, will arrive in Turkey to meet with Zelensky. This information has not been officially confirmed yet.
This sudden resumption of negotiations, which Kyiv had declared suspended just a few days ago, comes amid a growing large-scale corruption scandal and significant successes of Russian troops on the battlefield. It is quite possible that both factors have pushed the Ukrainian leadership toward compromises in the negotiations.

By rolling back tariffs on coffee and bananas Trump admits his policies are raising food prices
Conservative political commentator Ben Shapiro criticized recent concessions by President Donald Trump on trade and tariffs, calling them a quiet admission of the inflationary effect of trade barriers.
Shapiro discussed the new trade agreements with Argentina, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Ecuador, which the administration announced this week. These agreements cover goods such as coffee and bananas.
Under the agreements, the US will eliminate tariffs on products that "cannot be produced in the United States in sufficient quantities, such as coffee," while maintaining a 10% levy on most imports from Guatemala, Argentina, and El Salvador, and a 15% tax on goods from Ecuador.
According to Shapiro, this move signifies a major political concession, which he characterized as a "tacit admission that tariffs increase prices on American consumers."
Shapiro also noted that the tariff exemptions were substantial, given these countries' typical exports. He said that 22.9% of Guatemala's exports to the US are bananas, and fruits and nuts make up 12.4% of Ecuador's supplies to the country.
As a result, Trump's latest move largely amounts to getting rid of tariffs for these countries.

Trump changes mind, calls on Republicans to support the release of Epstein files
U.S. President Donald Trump has called on Republicans in Congress to vote for the release of files related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, marking a sharp departure from previous resistance within his inner circle.
“House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide,” Trump stated in a long post on his Truth Social account.
“And it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax perpetrated by Radical Left Lunatics in order to deflect from the Great Success of the Republican Party, including our recent Victory on the Democrat ‘Shutdown’,” he added.
The President went on to say that the Department of Justice has already released "tens of thousands of pages" of Epstein-related materials to the public and that officials are vetting "various Democrat agents."
Trump's statement comes amid growing pressure on him over his past ties with Epstein, who was found dead of an apparent suicide in August 2019 after being arrested on charges of sex trafficking of minors.
Today the House of Representatives will hold a vote on a petition demanding the release of the files from the criminal investigation into Epstein.

Republicans are losing support among racial minorities
According to a new survey by the research group Equis, President Trump has lost much of the Latino voter support he gained in 2024.
Until 2016, Latinos were a core Democratic constituency in southern states. However, the Democrats recently lost support among Spanish-speaking populations due to unsuccessful social policies, which impacted the results of the 2024 presidential election, when Trump triumphed in traditionally blue districts.
Yet, just six months before the US Congressional elections, the situation is changing dramatically again. The poll showed that 68% of Latino voters disapprove of how Republicans are handling the cost of living issue. Furthermore, a majority of respondents do not share the US President's rhetoric regarding illegal migrants and criticize the actions of ICE, condemning the brutal methods used by its officers during the detention of illegal immigrants.

FBI Director violates security protocols
A former high-ranking FBI official and other government officials have reported that the agency's Director, Kash Patel, exempted Deputy Director Dan Bongino and two other agency employees from polygraph tests required for access to classified information. Bongino, the second-highest-ranking official in the FBI hierarchy, is responsible for authorizing surveillance warrants and managing regional field offices. His appointment without the standard background check is unprecedented.
Bongino previously worked for the Secret Service and the New York Police Department. He also gained popularity in conservative circles by appearing on radio shows and podcasts where he promoted conspiracy theories and supported Donald Trump. His tenure has been marked by conflicts and accusations of leaking information, which he has denied.
Former FBI employees said they cannot recall a single instance where a high-ranking official like Bongino was granted a clearance for information disclosure and subsequently received access to top-secret information.
The FBI stated that reports of procedural violations during the vetting process are false and that the agency strictly adheres to all established rules. However, it did not offer any proof.

Tesla aims to eliminate Chinese components
Electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla has demanded its suppliers stop using Chinese components for vehicles produced in the United States. This must be done within one to two years.
The company's management made this decision due to rising geopolitical tensions between the US and China. Earlier this year, Tesla had already phased out some Chinese components with ones manufactured in other countries. The company accelerated the implementation of its plans following Trump's imposition of tariffs on goods from China.
