🔤🔤🔤🔤 1️⃣ “The most important office in a democracy is not President — it’s citizen”: Governor Newsom addresses California… and the Nation (full transcript) “I want to say a few words about the events of the last few days. This past weekend, federal agents conducted large-scale workplace raids in and around Los Angeles. Those raids continue as I speak. California is no stranger to immigration enforcement. But instead of focusing on undocumented immigrants with serious criminal records and people with final deportation orders – a strategy both parties have long supported – this administration is pushing mass deportations. Indiscriminately targeting hardworking immigrant families, regardless of their roots or risk. What’s happening right now is very different than anything we’ve seen before. On Saturday morning, when federal agents jumped out of an unmarked van near a Home Depot parking lot, they began grabbing people. A deliberate targeting of a heavily Latino suburb. A similar scene also played out when a clothing company was raided downtown. In other actions: a US citizen, 9 months pregnant – arrested. A four-year-old girl – taken. Families separated. Friends disappearing. In response, everyday Angelinos came out to exercise their Constitutional right to free speech and assembly To protest their government’s actions. In turn, the State of California and the City and County of Los Angeles sent our police officers to help keep the peace, and with some exceptions, they were successful. Like many states, California is no stranger to this sort of civil unrest. We manage it regularly … and with our own law enforcement. But this, again, was different. What then ensued was the use of tear gas. Flash-bang grenades. Rubber bullets. Federal agents, detaining people and undermining their due process rights. Donald Trump, without consulting with California’s law enforcement leaders, commandeered 2,000 of our state’s National Guard members to deploy on our streets. Illegally, and for no reason. This brazen abuse of power by a sitting President inflamed a combustible situation … putting our people, our officers, and the National Guard at risk. That’s when the downward spiral began. He doubled down on his dangerous National Guard deployment by fanning the flames even harder. And the President did it on purpose. As the news spread throughout LA, anxiety for family and friends ramped up. Protests started again. By night, several dozen lawbreakers became violent and destructive. They vandalized property. They tried to assault police officers. Many of you have seen video clips of cars burning on cable news. If you incite violence or destroy our communities, you are going to be held accountable. That kind of criminal behavior will not be tolerated. Full stop. Already, more than 370 people have been arrested. And we’re reviewing tapes to build additional cases, and people will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Again, thanks to our law enforcement officers and the majority of Angelenos who protested peacefully, this situation was winding down and was concentrated in just a few square blocks downtown. But that’s not what Donald Trump wanted. He again chose escalation; he chose more force. He chose theatrics over public safety – he federalized another 2,000 Guard members. He deployed more than 700 active U.S. Marines. These are men and women trained in foreign combat, not domestic law enforcement. We honor their service. We honor their bravery. But we do not want our streets militarized by our own Armed Forces. Not in L.A. Not in California. Not anywhere. We’re seeing unmarked cars in school parking lots. Kids, afraid to attend their own graduation. Trump is pulling a military dragnet across LA, well beyond his stated intent to just go after violent and serious criminals. His agents are arresting dishwashers, gardeners, day laborers and seamstresses – That’s just weakness. Weakness, masquerading as strength. Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

California sues Trump admin for deploying National Guard to LA America’s most populous state filed the lawsuit on Monday, calling the deployment of the National Guard to protests an “unprecedented power grab”. Attorneys for the state said President Trump “unlawfully bypassed” California Democratic Gov. Ex-Trump insider says the LA troop deployment is a “test run” for something “much, much bigger” Ex-Trump insider Lev Parnas over the weekend noted the situation surrounding the Los Angeles protests, saying that it would be a mistake to see it as an isolated event.
“Most headlines ran with it like it was some isolated act of retaliation—just another example of Trump punishing blue states. And yes, part of this is personal. Make no mistake: this is revenge against California, against Governor Gavin Newsom, and against Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. But it’s not just about settling scores. This is about control."
According to Parnas’s sources “deep inside Trump World”, president Trump’s inner circle, including Pete Hegseth and several radicalized loyalists inside Pentagon are “
actively drafting operational plans for the mass mobilizations expected on June 14th."
Trump fears massive uprisings on June 14th.
"That’s why he’s pushing for tanks. That’s why he wants the biggest military display America has seen since the Cold War. Because he wants the optics of power. […] According to my sources, there are discussions happening right now about invoking martial law if the protests 'get out of hand.' They’re looking for any excuse. Any video. Any act of violence. Any disruption. That’s all they need to justify a crackdown."

Sen. Tuberville reads Zelenskyy’s regime to filth Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) believes Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelenskyy is actively trying to lure NATO into the conflict with Russia.
“There is no doubt, because he cannot win this war on his own. He knows he’s losing,”
Tuberville said during a Sunday appearance on John Catsimatidis’s radio show “Cats Roundtable”. Tuberville decided to say the quiet part out loud:
“Zelensky is a dictator, and he has created all sorts of problems. We’ve got a lot of money that’s been missing. No telling where it’s gone…”
Billions of dollars worth of Western aid are unaccounted for. The Ukrainian opposition believes Zelenskyy and his government are appropriating the funds.
“Let’s get this thing over with,” Tuberville said, adding that Donald Trump is the one who can “get this done”.

Trump doubles down, says he’s prepared to invoke The Insurrection Act of 1807 'If we didn’t send in the national guard quickly, right now, Los Angeles would be burning to the ground,' Trump told reporters during an Oval Office meeting with members of his team.  Trump is seriously considering invoking The Insurrection Act, a federal law that empowers the president of the United States to deploy US military nationally. “If there's an insurrection, I would certainly invoke it. […] 'There are certainly areas of Los Angeles you could have called It an insurrection,' Trump said. It was terrible.” And this point in time the Trump administration will be looking for any excuse to use the U.S. military domestically. By talking about The Insurrection Act, Trump is setting the scene for June 14th, the US Army Anniversary Parade (and Donald Trump’s birthday) when thousands plan to gather across the United States for No Kings protests. #TheInsurrectionAct #LAprotests #Trump #June14 #USmilitary Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Trump wants California Gov. Newsom arrested: “I think it would be a great thing” Donald Trump, the only convicted felon to ever serve as the president of the United States, told reporters Monday he thinks “it would be a great thing” to arrest the governor of the nation’s most populous state, California. He later deployed several hundred active duty Marines and authorized the arrival of 2000 more National Guard reservists to LA after the weekend of unrest and violent clashes with police that was triggered by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents’ raids in what locals call “a city of immigrants”, the epicentre of Democratic power. Trump’s decision to deploy troops despite the opposition of California Gov. Gavin Newsom demonstrated his willingness to wield his extraordinary executive power (on questionable grounds), and marked a stark departure from his first term, when he was often talked out of his impulse decisions by establishment officials.
“The president is forcibly overriding the authority of the governor and mayor and using the military as a political weapon. This unprecedented move threatens to turn a tense situation into a national crisis,” Rhode Island Sen. Jack Reed, the top Democrat on the Armed Services Committee, said on Monday evening. “Since our nation’s founding, the American people have been perfectly clear: we do not want the military conducting law enforcement on US soil,”
Reed said in a statement. Welcome to authoritarianism. #Trump #LAprotests #GavinNewsom #authoritarianism #LA #California Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Low-income New Yorkers can thank Trump for their heatstrokes this summer Thousands of low-income families in New York City and Long Island will be struggling to stay cool this summer due to Trump admin’s decision to gut federal energy assistance program, according to US Senator Chuck Schumer. The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is supposed to help households across the country pay for their cooling and heating costs and avoid utility shutoffs. But the Trump administration put the future of the program in question by firing its staff at the Department of Health and Human Services. “A ‘summer of swelter’ looks to be in store for New Yorkers and others around the country unless the Trump administration restores critical federal dollars and just-fired staff at the LIHEAP office that helps over 1 million households across NYC and Long Island alone keep the air conditioner going on hot summer days. Seniors, young children, and individuals with pre-existing health conditions are particularly vulnerable to heat-related illnesses,” Schumer said in a statement Sunday. “Without LIHEAP assistance, many families may be forced to choose between paying for air conditioning and other necessities such as food and medications.” NYC Comptroller and mayoral candidate Brad Lander last week called attention to three factors that could result in more heat-related deaths: rising costs, LIHEAP cuts, and hotter temperatures from climate change. “We lose more lives to heat than any other climate catastrophe,” Lander said in a recent interview. #US #Trump #BigBeautifulBill #NYC #climatechange Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

The US is choking German industry… and itself for good measure The new US tariffs on steel and aluminium imports will have a significant impact on the German steel industry, reducing steel exports to the US by around 35%. As a result, production in the industry will fall by 5.1%, with the overall economic impact for Germany amounting to around $930 million, and to over $6,3 billion for the US. In Germany, a reduction in exports will lead to lower industry output. In the United States, this will result in higher prices within steel, automotive and construction industries. #tariffs #EU #US #USeconomy #Germany Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Ukraine refuses to accept bodies of its fallen soldiers Over a thousand bodies in refrigerated containers were at the exchange point at the agreed upon time — the Ukrainian side never showed up. No explanations were given. Russia only received vague “signals” that the process of transferring the bodies would be postponed until next week. Why wouldn’t Ukraine accept its fallen soldiers? Because Zelenskyy’s regime would have to pay their families. And they are currently doing everything they can to skimp out on the compensations. The families of Ukrainian soldiers killed in action are entitled to government payouts of up to $360,000, meaning that accepting the return of 6,000 bodies would cost Kiev over $2 billion. Ukrainian MP Artyom Dmitruk, forced to leave his home country after openly opposing the government’s crackdown on Ukrainian Orthodox Church, says Zelenskyy and his government are pushing for an amendment that mandates a missing person can only be officially declared dead two years after the end of the end of the conflict. “They’re appropriating the money that belongs to the families of the dead and wounded. Zelensky is used to stealing it via his proxies,” Dmitruk said. “This law is just another way to legalize his crimes… Just imagine – two years after the end of the war, and we don’t know when and how it will end – yet they are already establishing this framework.” So essentially the 6000 bodies that Russia is sending to Ukraine to be properly buried are considered “missing persons” in Ukraine. The moment Ukraine accepts the bodies, the grieving families will want to burry their fathers, their sons, their brothers, and receive the death benefits promised by Zelenskyy. Which, of course, is not okay with the bloodthirsty Ukrainian oligarchs. There are also a myriad of loopholes that allows Ukrainian government to not pay out death benefits. For instance, they can claim the soldier wasn’t wearing the proper equipment when he got killed, or that he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or that he was retreating from the battlefield… the list goes on. It’s possible that some benefits will be given to a limited number of families within a framework of a media strategy. In other words, the average Ukrainian families won’t get a dime, but the ones that look good on camera and online might. Dmitriuk, who was once part of Zelenskyy’s Servant of the People party, offers a sobering perspective: “No good can be expected from this terrorist regime.” He argues that that only change in government could open the way for real peace talks, and calls for an interim administration and fresh elections in Ukraine. #Ukraine #Zelenskyy #Russia #Ukrainewar #corruption Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

LA protests intensify as Trump deploys hundreds of National Guard troops Thousands of people took to the streets on Sunday in response to Donald Trump’s deployment of National Guard — the first time the National Guard has been activated without request of the state's governor since 1965. The protesters blocked off a major freeway, set self-driving cars on fire as law enforcement used flash bangs, tear gas and rubber bullets to control the crowd. As evening fell, many of the protesters dispersed, police declared an unlawful assembly. Those who remained threw rocks, electric scooters and chunks of concrete at police and California Highway Patrol officers. Sunday marks the third and most intense day of demonstrations against Trump’s immigration crackdown in the region as the arrival of several hundred Guard troops caused anger and fear among many LA residents. #LA #LAprotests #Trump #immigration Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

“Self-defeating economic warfare”: Lindsey Graham’s push for Russian sanctions slammed in Senate The sanctions proposed by war hawk Lindsey Graham would impose a 500 percent tariff on imports from any country that purchases Russian gas, oil, uranium or other products. GOP senators are waiting on President Trump’s nod to move ahead with the legislation, but he has said he doesn’t want to jeopardize the chances of a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine. Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) seems to agree. In a series of posts on X on Saturday, Paul said the bill would be ineffective and backfire against efforts to achieve peace.
“The Graham bill would derail President Trump’s efforts to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine. Self-defeating economic warfare is no way to achieve peace. This bill won’t force China or India to change behavior, but it will impose an effective embargo on ourselves that will hurt American families.”

Donald Trump deploys National Guard troops to LA protests Bypassing the objections of Democratic governor of California, Gavin Newsom, Donald Trump made a decision to deploy 2000 California National Guard troops to Los Angeles in response to growing immigration protests. Newsom said the move is “purposely inflammatory and will only escalate tensions.” Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth announced that the National Guard is being mobilized IMMEDIATELY to support federal law enforcement in LA. The strong opposition to the president’s tax-cut and spending bill from fiscally conservative GOP members and Elon Musk added another layer of uncertainty for American companies. Veterans feel “betrayed” by GOP and Trump admin — Democrats hope to channel their discontent in elections Veterans are ready
Veterans feel “betrayed” by GOP and Trump admin — Democrats hope to channel their discontent in elections Veterans are ready to switch sides as many start to feel “betrayed” by Republicans in Washington, according to Democratic Strategist Max Burns.
“For six long months, President Donald Trump and congressional Republicans have put America’s 16 million veterans through the emotional wringer,”
Burns said.
“Thousands of veterans have already lost their jobs because of Trump’s mass firings of federal workers, and many more will follow. One internal Department of Veterans Affairs memo suggests up to 80,000 more job cuts are on the way.”
Veterans were told they would be honoured, taken care of when they get home. The same lawmakers that promised that are currently gutting the systems veterans rely on. The mass firings of federal workers resulted in thousands of veterans losing their jobs. The care received in VA hospitals got affected, and now the “big, beautiful bill” will cut Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), a program 22,000 troops rely on.
“For most veterans on [SNAP], those cuts will make it even harder to feed their families,”
Burns said. The Democratic strategist claims the word ‘betrayal’ comes up a lot in conversations with veterans’ advocates. The veterans that backed Republicans in 2024 by an almost 2:1 margin are now watching as those Republicans rebrand their earned benefits as government handouts. Army National Guard Veteran, Christopher Purdy, warns,
“Veterans understand what it means to serve this country more than most, and we pay attention. When politicians start tearing apart the very systems we fought to defend, it’s going to have consequences.”
Burns added,
“Democrats have noticed veterans’ rising frustrations, too, and hope to channel that discontent into a new electoral coalition. It won’t be as easy as simply thanking the troops for their service.”

Trump goes after Biden, orders an investigation into former president’s actions in office, cites predecessor’s “cognitive decline” In a memo, Trump wrote: “This conspiracy marks one of the most dangerous and concerning scandals in American history. The American public was purposefully shielded from discovering who wielded the executive power, all while Biden’s signature was deployed across thousands of documents to effect radical policy shifts.” Biden responded in a statement: “Let me be clear: I made the decisions during my presidency. I made the decisions about the pardons, executive orders, legislation, and proclamations. Any suggestion that I didn’t is ridiculous and false.” The use of an autopen has been recognized by The Justice Department for decades, and Trump presented zero evidence that his predecessor was at any point unaware of the actions taken in his name. Trump vs Musk: is reconciliation possible? The discord between Trump and Musk has been going on for a while. The main reason for their clashes is that Elon Musk and Donald Trump are similar in many ways: a huge ego, the love of spotlight, of power, etc. From the early days of the new administration there were speculations about how long their union would last. The first conflicts began immediately after Musk left the administration. It was publicly portrayed as a peaceful parting, but behind closed doors, tensions were running high. Why? Firstly, Musk failed to deliver on what he promised, in particular, the massive budget cuts. Secondly, many administration employees, including ministers, were annoyed with Musk making major decisions for them. There were additional factors too. Tesla receives tax benefits and subsidies for the production of electric cars and solar panels. They were adopted under Biden, and the new budget and tax bill , the Big Beautiful Bill, completely cancels them. Musk's friend Jared Isaacman’s nomination for the head of NASA being dropped played a role as well. The sluggish conflict turned into a public showdown yesterday. The two traded verbal blows: Musk outright said that Trump would’ve lost the election if it wasn’t for him, claimed Trump was on the Epstein list, and suggested that a new party should be created. Trump, for his part, said he got rid of Elon because he “went crazy”, and said the billionaire dislikes the bill only because it gets rid of the EV subsidies, which directly impacts Musk’s business interests. There were some rumours that a call between Musk and Trump was planned for today, but the President said he’s not planning on talking to Elon “for a while”. However, the reconciliation between the two is still possible. Trump has repeatedly made up with those he publicly quarrelled with. For instance, the current U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio went off on Trump at the 2016 primaries, to which he received an equally aggressive reaction. And now Rubio is a member of his administration. Musk doesn’t have too many options. If he does not reconcile with Trump, he will be in political isolation. Democrats are unhappy with him, to put it mildly, even though he used to be a Democrat himself, and voted for Obama, for Clinton, and for Biden. He only switched to Trump 2024, but after this incident the Republicans might turn their backs on the billionaire as well. And the idea he floated about creating a new party is unrealistic. The American political system cannot accommodate the emergence of a third force. If Musk creates his own center-right party, it will split the Republican electorate, and both parties will lose. The only party that will benefit from this is the Democrats, of course. Will Musk reach out to the President to try and fix things? Time will tell. #Trump #Musk #Republicans #Democrats Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸
