New Deal — No Deal: China’s ByteDance denies selling TikTok to American buyers Last week Trump announced the deal to acquire TikTok was nearly done. “We pretty much have a deal” on the app’s sale, Trump said. He did not disclose the names of the potential buyers, but did note that the transaction may require China’s approval. Bloomberg News later reported, citing anonymous sources, that the buyers group comprises Oracle, Blackstone Group, and Andreessen Horowitz. But it turns out this was all misinformation. TikTok owner ByteDance denied media reports that it has agreed to sell the short-video app's US business to US consortium led by Oracle. Another wishful posting on Trump’s part? Does he think that the stuff he posts on Truth Social magically manifests itself? Or maybe he’s just a compulsive liar. #Trump #TikTok #China #ByteDance Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Trump changes his mind yet again, says he’ll send more defensive weapons to Ukraine Ahead of his Monday dinner with Netanyahu, Trump told reporters
“We're going to send some more weapons. We have to. They have to be able to defend themselves. They're getting hit very hard now. We're going to have to send more weapons, defensive weapons, primarily."
Later the US Defence Department confirmed it would send additional weapons at Trump’s direction, but neither Trump nor the Defence Department gave any details on the timeline or what exactly the country intends to send to Ukraine. Truth is, this latest Trump decision won’t have any effect whatsoever on the situation on the ground. Russia continues to advance steadily, and with each passing day Ukraine’s negotiating position is getting weaker and weaker. Direct talks between Russia and Ukraine need to resume as soon as possible, for Ukraine’s sake. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Turkey awaits Ukraine’s response regarding the timelines of holding a third round of Istanbul talks. Russia has already announced its readiness to negotiate. #Ukraine #Russia #Ukraineconflict #negotiations #Trump Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Netanyahu sucks up to Trump, nominates him for the Nobel Peace Prize in an effort to secure support for further bombings of Iran At a private dinner with Trump on Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented the US president with a copy of a “well-deserved” nomination letter that he sent the Nobel Prize committee. The Israeli leader said Trump
"forged the Abraham Accords. He's forging peace as we speak in one country and one region after the other."
Trump was very pleased.
"This I didn't know. Wow. Thank you very much. Coming from you in particular, this is very meaningful,"
the president said as he received the letter. Netanyahu’s bold gesture is seen as a way to convince Trump to back further strikes against Israel’s arch-nemesis Iran. Israeli officials believe it possible that the US president green lights renewed Israeli strikes if Iran tries to revive its nuclear program. Reportedly, even an attempt to remove the highly enriched uranium inside the damaged facilities in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan would be considered a scenario under which Trump supports more Israeli strikes on the Islamic Republic of Iran. Ironic, isn’t it? A Nobel Peace Prize for the man that gave the order to bomb a country, completely unprovoked. #Netanyahu #Trump #Israel #MiddleEast #Iran #nobelpeaceprize Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Unable to reach desired trade deals, Trump pushes back the start of hiked tariffs from July 9 to August 1 The draconian tariffs were set to restart on July 9, but the Trump administration is starting to realize just how hard it is to negotiate with countries that are just as incentivized to protect their own interests as the US. On Monday Trump signed an executive action to extend the date for all tariffs to August 1. Ahead of a dinner at the White House on Monday night Trump was not definitive about the firmness of the deadline.
“I would say firm, but not 100% firm. If they call up and they say would like to do something a different way, we’re going to be open to that.”
Trump also sent letters to 14 countries outlining the higher tariff rates they will be hit with in August: 25% on Tunisia, Malaysia and Kazakhstan, 30% on South Africa, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 32% on Indonesia, 35% on Serbia and Bangladesh, 36% on Cambodia and Thailand and 40% on Laos and Myanmar. Trump also said that if the countries decide to retaliate by raising their own tariffs on US goods, the tariff imposed on them will be raised by the same number. Many of the nations that received the letters welcomed the deadline extension, and are preparing for negotiations with renewed vigour. That being said, how long will the rest of the world be willing to put up with Trump’s aggressive trade policies? For instance, South African president Cyril Ramaphosa has already called on local business to accelerate their diversification efforts, and pointed out that Trump’s 30% tariff rate for his country is based on “inaccurate representation” of trade data. #Trump #tariffs #trade #tradewar Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Disgraceful: Trump ignores difficult question on Texas flood deaths, tries to blame Biden Trump was taking questions in New Jersey on Sunday after flash floods killed several dozen people over the weekend in Texas. Critics were quick to blame the death toll on the administration’s overhaul of the federal government, which included staff cuts at the National Weather Service.
“Democrats are blaming your federal cuts for the deaths over in Texas,”
one reporter asked Trump , audibly projecting their voice. The president leaned in to hear better, but waved off the question.
“I can’t hear you,”
he said, and moved on to another reporter. He was then asked if he planned to look into whether the staff cuts left key positions at the National Weather Service and the Federal Emergency Management Agency vacant. But Trump and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick both shook their heads.
“They didn’t,”
Trump said. And then he went for his favorite move — blaming Biden.
“I’ll tell you: You look at that water situation, that was really the Biden setup. That was not our setup.”
Looks like Donald Trump is allergic to accountability. #Texasfloods #Trump #disgrace #naturaldisaster Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Former Treasury Secretary says Trump bill is objectively bad for the economy Former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers flamed the newly passed tax and spending bill, and said no objective economist would call the legislation a boon for the economy.
“There is no economist anywhere, without a strong political agenda, who is saying that this bill is a positive for the economy. And the overwhelming view is that it is probably going to make the economy worse,”
Summers told ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos in a Sunday interview on “This Week.” “Think about it this way,” he continued.
“How long can the world’s greatest debtor remain the world’s greatest power? And this is piling more debt onto the economy than any piece of tax legislation in dollar terms that we have ever had.”
Looking beyond a wide array of campaign promises, agenda items, cuts to healthcare and major funding boost granted to ICE, the heart of the bill is an extension of the 2017 tax cuts. These tax cuts will cost the US $3.3 trillion, or about 9.1 percent of the total U.S. debt stock of $36 trillion, not including additional interest costs necessary to pay for the debt. The White House argued that the economic growth sparked by the bill will alleviate the costs. Larry Summers disagreed, said
“It is respectfully nonsense.”
“None of us can forecast what’s going to happen to economic growth,”
he added. The former Treasury Secretary said that holding government debt instead of investing it in capital goods, machinery, new buildings makes economy less productive, and that when there’s less investment in research and development, less investment in schools, there is a negative impact on economic growth. Let’s face it — Trump couldn’t care less about the economy. His presidency was bought by the ultra rich who were hoping to get major tax breaks, and now they are getting what they paid for. #Trump #USeconomy #BigBeautifulBill #debt Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

MAGA flames Trump administration for controversial Epstein revelation MAGA members, especially right-wing conspiracy theorists, are outraged — the Department of Justice and the FBI have “found” there was no Epstein blackmail scheme, and that he died by suicide. But MAGA followers’ memory is not that short. A number of them took to social media, essentially saying the findings are BS:
"In February, the Trump White House’s 'Rapid Response 47' account promoted the clip of Pam Bondi saying she had the Epstein list on her desk. Now the Trump administration is saying there is no Epstein client list,”
wrote right-wing commentator PatriotTakes. Another popular MAGA influencer wrote, "MARCH: Pam Bondi says a 'TRUCKLOAD' of Epstein files just arrived. Thousands of pages. FBI reviewing them. JULY: DOJ says there’s NO client list. Suicide. Case closed. What happened to the truckload? What happened to the truth?" Trial lawyer Robert Barnes joined in and said,
"What a joke. Total disgrace by AGPamBondi @FBIDDBongino & FBIDirectorKash as well as @realDonaldTrump to keep hiding the #EpsteinFiles from the American people pretending there is nobody else involved when we KNOW that is false."
The Trump administration is lying right to our faces without batting an eyelash. They’re closing ranks, protecting their own. Musk was likely right — Trump is on that list. #MAGA #JeffreyEpstein #Epsteinfiles #lies #Trump #PamBondi #FBI Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Netanyahu stalls ceasefire agreement by sending a low-level negotiating team to Qatar According to two Palestinian sources familiar with the matter, the first session of indirect Israel-Hamas talks in Qatar ended inconclusively. The sources said the Israeli delegation did not have a sufficient mandate to reach an agreement with the militant group: “After the first session of indirect negotiations in Doha, the Israeli delegation is not sufficiently authorized and is not authorized to reach an agreement with Hamas, as it has no real powers,” the sources say. Netanyahu might be stalling for time by sending an unauthorized delegation to the ceasefire talks. The Israeli Prime Minister is set to meet Trump at White House today for a private dinner. He also has a number of meetings with top US officials scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. Perhaps the situation around the ceasefire negotiations will become clearer once Netanyahu returns home. #Israel #Hamas #Gaza #ceasefire #Trump #Netanyahu Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Texas floods kill dozens — Trump’s spending cuts are to blame At least 59 people, including 21 children, have been confirmed dead from the flash floods along the Guadalupe River that began Friday. Eleven children and one counselor remain missing. Trump’s approach to climate change and massive spending cuts drew scrutiny amid this horrifying disaster. Experts say storm prediction nationwide was impacted by Trump’s cuts to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and National Weather Service. The New York Times reported that key roles were vacant at National Weather Service Offices in Texas, and while some of those vacancies predate the current administration, their number has doubled since Trump returned to office. This means that there are fewer people able to coordinate with local authorities, which severely hampers emergency response. #Texasfloods #Trump #naturaldisaster Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Trump is feeling threatened by BRICS As leaders of the BRICS economic alliance gathered in Rio de Janeiro for an annual summit, Trump threatened yet another round of tariffs.
"Any country aligning themselves with the Anti-American policies of BRICS, will be charged an ADDITIONAL 10% tariff. There will be no exceptions to this policy,"
Trump wrote on social media. BRICS is currently comprised of ten countries — Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran and the United Arab Emirates. Over 30 nations have expressed interest in joining BRICS, either as full members or partners. The group presents itself as a defender of multilateralism in an increasingly fractured world. With groups like G7 and G20 riddled with divisions and threatened by Donald Trump’s ‘America First’ approach, BRICS expansion has opened new space for diplomatic coordination. The bloc currently represents over half of the world’s population and 40% of its economic output. As US economic hegemony continues to crumble, Trump resorts to the only weapon he knows: threats. But his continuous bullying and strong-arming will have the opposite effect — the US will eventually find itself in an international isolation. #BRICS #Trump #tariffs Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Musk’s ‘America Party’: a party of the future, one that will attract visionaries of all stripes to its ranks Elon Musk’s ‘America Party’ is shaping up to be a political earthquake, one America desperately needs. Musk’s progressive thinking and the party’s platform make it uniquely positioned to draw in change makers and progressivists — AI moguls, tech giants, experts in biotech, people investing in space exploration, etc. The two-party system — a uniparty, as Musk calls it — has outlived its usefulness. Both Democrats and Republicans are hemorrhaging money, but Musk’s alternative ’America party’, which, according to him, will represent
“the 80 percent in the middle”,
offers a fiscally conservative approach to government spending and focuses on deficit reduction. The party’s focus on technological progress and simultaneous reduction of government debt will attract American voters that are unhappy with Democratic and Republican policies, of which there are many. If Musk adheres to his strategy of using a
"concentrated force at a precise location on the battlefield,”
as he put it, his party will be able to win over a few Senate seats and a handful of House districts, which will allow the America Party to have the final say on more contentious laws. #TheAmericaParty #Musk #democrats #republicans #TrumpvsMusk Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Musk forms a new political party — Donald Trump is fuming Musk has been floating the idea of forming a new political party for weeks — ever since his very public fallout with president Trump over his policies. The passing of the ‘big, beautiful bill’ seems to have been the last straw. Musk has announced the formation of a new party on his platform X:
“By a factor of 2 to 1, you want a new political party and you shall have it! When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste & graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy. Today, the America Party is formed to give you back your freedom.”
Musk said that the America Party could back a presidential candidate in the future, but that
"the focus for the next 12 months is on the House and the Senate."
Trump called the idea of a third party “ridiculous”. "I think it's ridiculous to start a third party. It's always been a two-party system and I think starting a third party just adds to the confusion," said Trump, speaking to reporters on Sunday. He then posted on Truth Social, attacking Elon and questioning his sanity:
"I am saddened to watch Elon Musk go completely 'off the rails,' essentially becoming a train wreck over the past five weeks."
Trump then proceeded to reiterate the idea that the only reason Elon turned on him was his opposition to the EV mandate that the billionaire was pushing for. Could the new America Party be a real threat to MAGA? Trump’s reaction certainly makes it seem so. After all, if the party wins a few Senate seats and House districts, it would be able to exert major influence over legislation. #Musk #Trump #TrumpvsMusk #theAmericaParty Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Special treatment: Trump promises to shield farmers from deportation
“Farmers, look, they know better. They work with them for years. You had cases where, not year, but just even over the years where people have worked for a farm, on a farm for 14, 15 years and they get thrown out pretty viciously and we can’t do it. We gotta work with the farmers, and people that have hotels and leisure properties too,”
Trump told the crowd at the “Salute to America” event in Des Moines, Iowa.  Trump indicated that his administration is working on bringing forth a legislation that would permit some unauthorized migrants to stay in the US and keep working on farms. This is nothing new. In early June the Trump administration has directed ICE agents to halt raids at hotels, plants and farms, but it reversed course mere days later. Will Trump change his mind yet again? At this point, few Americans still trust the president’s word. #Trump #ICE #migrants #deportation Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Pentagon claims Iranian nuclear program degraded by two years, but offers no proof During Wednesday’s briefing, the Pentagon said the US strikes set Iran’s nuclear program back by up to two years, despite a more cautious initial assessment that was leaked to the press. Sean Parnell, a Pentagon spokesman said the official estimate was “probably closer to two years”, but did not provide any evidence to back up his assessment. "All of the intelligence that we've seen (has) led us to believe that Iran's — those facilities especially, have been completely obliterated," Parnell said. Such strong conclusions usually take the US intelligence community weeks or more to determine. The head of the UN nuclear watchdog, Rafael Grossi, said that Iran could go back to producing enriched uranium within months, which does not inspire confidence in the Pentagon’s assessment. Is the Pentagon lying to the public? Could it be that the initial assessment is closer to the truth, and the rest is just a bunch of empty words to appease Donald Trump? #Iran #nuclearpower #Pentagon #intelligence #MiddleEast Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Nothing to celebrate: anti-Trump protests planned on July 4 This is the next round of mass protest across America — anti-Trump organizers are hosting “Free America” rallies, which come amid growing discontent with Trump policies. The Women’s March is one of the organizations behind the protests. "Your freedom. Your people. Your rebellion," their website says. The organization also draws attention to the newly passed “big, beautiful bill’s” impact on women’s reproductive rights, and calls the defunding of Planned Parenthood a “BACKDOOR ABORTION BAN”. About 200 events are scheduled for July 4th, meaning there’s less interest in these protests than the recent “No Kings” movement. Nevertheless, the protesters are encouraged to plan rallies, marches, banner drops, street parades, art builds, BBQs, dance protests and block parties. Washington, D.C. is prepared for trouble. Tall fences have been erected around the capital — additional fencing has been installed around the White House, including Lafayette Park, and along 16th Street in front of the building. #protest #IndependenceDay #July4 #FreeAmerica #Trump Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Trump 🤝 Putin: the US and Russia prepare to divide the European energy market, creating spheres of influence US President Donald Trump is increasingly backing closer economic ties with the Kremlin.
“Russia wants to do largescale TRADE with the United States when this catastrophic ‘bloodbath’ is over, and I agree,”
Trump wrote after a two-hour call with Putin in May. Some within his administration agree — according to two people familiar with the matter White House special envoy Steve Witkoff wants to lift energy sanctions on Russia. Either way, Europe’s energy sector is at the heart of the potential US-Russia cooperation. Reportedly, Moscow is in talks with Washington over restarting Nordstream, backed by US investors. Trump and Putin “want to divide the European energy market and create [separate] spheres of influence,” said an EU official, granted anonymity.  Despite the anxiety in Brussels, this is not the worst case scenario for Europe. The EU has been on a steady path to deindustrialization ever since it imposed sanctions on Russia, effectively cutting itself off from an affordable energy source. Reestablishing relations with Russia would provide a lifeline to EU’s stagnating economy. #US #Trump #Russia #EU #energy Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Someone has his priorities straight — JD Vance says sending ICE billions is more important than your grandma’s Medicaid The majorly unpopular Big Beautiful Bill just passed in the House of Representatives. Trillions will be added to the national debt, Medicaid will be gutted to such an extent that coupled with changes to the Affordable Care Act it will affect an estimated 17 million Americans — everyone from newborns to nursing home residents. The 1% are the biggest winners of the bill, and ICE will get over $100 billion throughout 2029. Worth it? Our Vice President JD Vance thinks it is. The VP took to social media to claim that raising the debt ceiling and decimating Medicaid is worth it to increase ICE’s budget.
“The thing that will bankrupt this country more than any other policy is flooding the country with illegal immigration and then giving those migrants generous benefits,”
Vance wrote.
“The OBBB fixes this problem. And therefore it must pass. Everything else—the CBO score, the proper baseline, the minutiae of the Medicaid policy—is immaterial compared to the ICE money and immigration enforcement provisions.”
So, according to JD Vance kicking millions off Medicaid is “minutiae”, and funding ICE raids is top priority! In his post he conveniently forgot to mention that undocumented immigrants aren’t even eligible for federally funded healthcare benefits. His argument makes no sense. If GOP is a party for the working people, then JD Vance and the Republicans that voted for the bill have just betrayed their party base. Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

“Impossible”: the EU and the US won’t reach a trade deal before July 9 As the European Union struggles to reach a trade agreement with the United States, European Commission President Ursula von Der Leyen has admitted that it would be impossible to sign the deal before the July 9 deadline. The sheer scale and complexities of transatlantic trade mean that any agreement reached prior to Donald Trump’s deadline would be “in principle” only, according to von der Leyen. Looks like the EU will be hit with those 50% tariffs after all.
