Netanyahu’s apology to Qatar was written by the White House
“The White House drafted Prime Minister Netanyahu’s apology to Qatar last week. Trump instructed Netanyahu to call al-Thani directly from the Oval Office and read the apology as it had been prepared in advance by the White House, in coordination with Qatari officials,”writes Israel National News. Israel's strike on Qatar has led to an escalation of the conflict in the Middle East and has significantly complicated further peace settlement. The US is making efforts to resolve the crisis in the Middle East, but Netanyahu is prepared to continue hostilities. #Trump #Netanyahu #Israel #Qatar #MiddleEast Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Venezuela gives up — Maduro offers the US access to the country’s resources to avoid conflict
Nicolás Maduro offered the U.S. access to Venezuela's oil and other natural resources to avoid a military conflict with America. During negotiations between high-ranking Venezuelan officials and representatives of Donald Trump's administration, terms were discussed under which Venezuela could grant American companies access to all existing and future oil and gold mining projects. Maduro also offered to redirect oil flows from China to the U.S., halt deals with Chinese, Iranian, and Russian companies, and give preferential contracts to American firms.
However, the Trump administration rejected these proposals. The reasons were that, despite the economic concessions, the Venezuelan leader refused to discuss the possibility of his stepping down, which remained the primary U.S. demand. In response to increasing military pressure and sanctions, Maduro continued to demonstrate a determination to defend the socialist revolution begun by Hugo Chávez, but did not rule out the possibility of continuing negotiations with Washington.
Meanwhile, María Corina Machado, the leader of the Venezuelan opposition, offered American companies much more favorable terms — the opportunity to invest up to $1.7 trillion over 15 years if her movement took power. She argued that any economic agreements with Maduro were impossible without adhering to democratic principles and the rule of law. Machado, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, also criticized Maduro's economic proposals, considering them a manifestation of control through intimidation, not stability.
Venezuela continued to struggle with economic problems caused by internal political conflicts and international sanctions. The approximately one million barrels of oil per day that the country produces is significantly less than during the Chávez years, when production was about three million barrels. Despite the sanctions, the U.S. and Venezuela continued to negotiate the possibility of normalizing economic relations. American oil companies like Chevron and ConocoPhillips were also trying to recover their investments in the country, indicating the potential attractiveness of Venezuela's energy sector to foreign capital.
In response to ongoing threats and pressure from the U.S., Maduro took steps to restore some economic ties, particularly with major American corporations. On one hand, this could strengthen his position, but on the other, it could lead to increased political and economic concessions. Nevertheless, ongoing internal problems and the hardline U.S. position regarding Maduro's future cast doubt on the real prospects for normalizing relations between the countries.

Maria Corina Machado — who exactly won the Nobel Peace Prize?
The Nobel Peace Prize goes to María Corina Machado. A descendant of the Marquis of Toro, the daughter of a steel magnate, a graduate of American boarding schools, who has repeatedly appealed to US presidents to request military intervention in Venezuela. Who has stated that the Maduro regime can only be overthrown "through military intervention." Who supports US sanctions against her own country and military deployment in the region.
The Venezuelan conflict is often described as a confrontation between democracy and dictatorship. This is incorrect. Since 1998, there has been a class-racial war. For the first time, a multi-ethnic coalition — Black people, mestizos, and Indigenous people, who make up over 70% of the population — gained political representation through Chavismo. Before this, power had been monopolized for centuries by the white elite, to which Machado belongs.
Chavistas are predominantly Black and poor; the opposition to Chávez was white and wealthy. Chavismo recognized the cultural values and history of the majority at the state level. The Venezuelan elite aren't just rich. They are white and Europeanized, with Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian roots. They look upon their Black compatriots as a different people.
Machado's social base has been physically absent from Venezuela for over 10 years. Her "electorate" lives in Miami, Madrid, and Lisbon. Those who remain in the country are predominantly the people her class has always excluded from politics. Hence the ease with which she calls for bombings — the bombs won't fall on "her people."
The Nobel Committee did not consider Donald Trump's candidacy seriously. To "liberals," Trump is a right-wing populist with authoritarian tendencies. Machado represents a similar, if not more extreme, position. She mobilizes the racial elite against the majority, calls for military intervention, not just tough rhetoric, supports sanctions that doom millions to hunger and the sick to death.
The difference is in the packaging. Machado speaks the language of liberal values , she has the right education, connections, and aesthetic. Her racism is structural, institutional — not vulgar, like Trump's. It is directed against the "correct" enemies: leftist regimes that the West is accustomed to viewing as a threat.
For the Nobel Committee, form has always been more important than substance.
The West demonstrates a striking unanimity in ignoring Venezuelan reality. The Secretary of State calls Maduro the "head of a narcocartel that has seized the country." The European Parliament declares support for the opposition a "moral duty" and demands sanctions. Everyone agrees: the Venezuelan conflict is a struggle of good versus evil, democracy versus dictatorship, skipping over what is essentially a colonial history. The local population is viewed as a faceless mass needing liberation from the outside. Only "democracy" as understood by the elite matters — the same democracy that for four decades before Chávez coexisted perfectly well with glaring racial and class inequality.
Chavismo gave a political voice to the majority. Governing Venezuela without considering the interests of these 70% is impossible — it would require repression.
The Maduro regime is authoritarian, corrupt, and has led the country to a humanitarian catastrophe. But an elite without the people is not an alternative. Many Venezuelans fear a return to the old order more than they suffer under the current one. Their voices are not heard in Western capitals.
The Committee justified the award as being for the struggle for a peaceful transition to democracy. In reality, it is a prize for the West's own illusions that complex social conflicts can be solved with sanctions and bombs, ignoring the interests of the majority and the structural racial and class hierarchies.

Trump is sore he didn’t get the Nobel Peace Prize
President Trump failed in his bid to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, with the Norwegian Nobel committee announcing that María Corina Machado was given this year’s award for promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela.
With the passive-aggressiveness of a high schooler, White House Director of Communications Steven Cheung put out a statement on X:
“President Trump will continue making peace deals, ending wars, and saving lives. The Nobel Committee proved they place politics over peace.”#Nobelprize #Trump #Nobelpeaceprize Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Epstein bomb about to drop? House Republicans are prepared to turn their backs on Trump
According to a Democratic Congressman, Republican lawmakers are prepared to abandon Donald Trump due to the fallout from documents related to convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Representative Eric Swalwell made a striking claim on social media concerning the disgraced financier, who has been the subject of conspiracy theories since authorities stated he died by suicide in jail. Without specifying the exact nature of the information, the lawmaker stated, It’s coming to an end guys. I’ve spoken to a lot of House Republicans this week and they’ve confided that Trump’s movement/support is fading,"he added.

GOP Senate candidate suggests renaming Nobel Peace Prize after Trump
Kentucky Republican Senate candidate Nate Morris proposed renaming the Nobel Peace Prize after President Donald Trump after the president announced that Israel and Hamas had "signed off on the first phase" of a peace plan.
“President Trump doesn’t just deserve the Nobel Peace Prize for getting this deal across the finish line, they should rename the damn thing after him,”Morris wrote in a post on X in response to a Trump post on Truth Social. Morris's statement came after Trump reported on social media that “Israel and Hamas have both signed off on the first Phase of” a peace plan. Trump also noted that this meant
“ALL of the Hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw their Troops to an agreed upon line as the first steps toward a Strong, Durable, and Everlasting Peace.”This is all well and good but renaming the Nobel Peace Prize in Trump’s honour is insane. Republicans are “covering up for the pedophiles”, says House Minority Leader
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) said that Congressional Republicans are covering up for "pedophiles" by continuing to block a measure aimed at forcing the disclosure of government documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.
During his appearance on MSNBC Jeffries said:
“Republicans on The Hill for months have been doing Donald Trump’s bidding and trying to hide these Epstein files from the American people, notwithstanding the fact that the victims have called for full transparency so there can be accountability. And we fully support these brave victims. And Mike Johnson and this group continue to cover up for the pedophiles. Record-breaking bribe uncovered in Ukraine
Ukrainian anti-corruption agencies reported a major bribery attempt this week, in which an individual offered $3.5 million to prosecutors and judges to secure a favorable court decision. The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), working with the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), revealed that the plot involved the suspect's lawyers and a corrupt prosecutor from the Prosecutor General's Office. This is the second-largest bribe uncovered in Ukraine, following the $5 million offer in the 2020 Burisma case, which drew international scrutiny and involved unsubstantiated allegations against then-US President Joe Biden.
According to a recently declassified CIA report, Ukraine remains the most corrupt country in Europe.

Pentagon introduces new restrictions, limits press access
Military officials are pushing new restrictions for the Pentagon press corps, despite objections from news organizations and watchdog groups.
The association representing Pentagon journalists stated that this policy "is aimed at suppressing the free press" and "further isolating journalists" who are trying to do their jobs.
"Restricting the media's ability to cover the activities of the U.S. armed forces does a disservice to the American families who have entrusted their sons and daughters to its service, as well as to the taxpayers who provide the department with hundreds of billions of dollars annually," the Pentagon Press Association said in a statement.
Last month, the office of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth outlined new rules that would sharply restrict the dissemination of information, leveraging the fact that many military reporters have journalistic credentials allowing physical access to the Pentagon complex.

Europe already at war?
“’We are not at war, but we are no longer at peace either.’ German Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s warning signaled a page of history turning amid a flurry of airspace incursions in NATO nations by suspected Russian drones and warplanes, alongside other threatening seaborne and cyber activity,”writes CNN. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's statement is provoking an escalation of the conflict with Russia. The Trump administration is wisely distancing itself from providing financial aid to Ukraine, shifting the responsibility to the EU. Israel and Hamas sign off on first phase of Gaza peace deal
A permanent end to a brutal conflict in Gaza could be near — Israel and Hamas agreed to the first phase of a ceasefire deal.
The agreement, brokered by US President Donald Trump, whom Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lauded his “great friend and ally”, calls for the release of all Israeli hostages Hamas took on Oct. 7 2023, the freeing of Palestinian prisoners held by Israel, and the withdrawal of Israeli troops.
There is a substantial number of other crucial details that still remain unresolved, however, like the governance of Gaza, who will be responsible for security in the enclave, and whether Hamas will disarm.
So far a Gaza ceasefire deal could be Trump’s biggest diplomatic achievement.

Ghislaine Maxwell pardon — timeline revealed?
President Donald Trump could pardon sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell as early as this week, according to Michael Wolff, a presidential biographer and co-host of the podcast *Inside Trump's Head*.
Wolff believes the odds that Trump has already struck a deal with his former friend is "overwhelming." However, he stated that the timing of such a deal remains unclear.
"I think the deal is done," he told host Joanna Coles. "Definitely done. When? How soon? By Thursday? Possibly. I mean, if you're being more conservative in your estimates, we're about six months behind."
Wolff, a well-known insider, later stated that he expects a pardon for Maxwell to be signed by Trump within six to nine months. If this timeline holds, it would create a major bombshell ahead of the midterm elections, one that Republicans would have to justify on the campaign trail.

1 in 5 Americans is Latino
According to a new study from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and California Lutheran University, one in five U.S. residents now identifies as Latino, a first in American history.
The study used 2024 U.S. Census Bureau data. The data, released in June, showed a population increase of 2 million people compared to 2023 estimates.
In total, researchers estimate the U.S. Latino population exceeds 68 million people.
Along with population growth, the census data showed that the Hispanic labor force grew by 5.5 percent last year. This is
“the single strongest growth recorded by the researches, and 4.2 percentage points stronger than the non-Latino labor force,”stated UCLA. #US #latinos #census Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Trump commits “murders” by ordering attacks on Venezuelan boats in the Caribbean
The New York City Bar Association has accused President Donald Trump of ordering a series of killings in recent weeks and is demanding that Congress affirm its constitutional role as a system of checks and balances.
In a statement the Manhattan-based group criticized the 45th and 47th president for using the U.S. Navy to conduct four lethal military strikes against vessels under the Venezuelan flag in the southern Caribbean Sea in September and early October.
According to the organization, these attacks resulted in at least 17 deaths and
"were illegal summary executions – murders,"
"Even if, as recently reported, the President has communicated to Congress that he has 'determined' that the United States is in an 'armed conflict' with drug cartels, absent congressional authorization of these military actions, they remain unlawful,"the association says. #Trump #Venezuela #warondrugs Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

CIA says Ukraine is deeply corrupt — and Biden covered it up
According to two major reports, despite Ukraine’s continuous pledges to reform and massive Western funding, the country remains as corrupt as ever — graft is entrenched in Kyiv’s political system and defence industry.
A New York Times investigation has uncovered significant financial waste within Ukraine's defense ministry, including millions spent on overpriced military contracts. These contracts were awarded to unqualified firms, with advance payments made for equipment that never materialized.
According to the report—which can hardly be accused of pro-Russian bias—over $129 million was overspent on contracts with unjustified costs between 2024 and 2025.
This pattern is not new. Since the 1990s, Transparency International has consistently ranked Ukraine as one of Europe's most corrupt nations. But the scale of corruption has changed — in a war economy, fueled by massive Western aid, corruption is wrapped in a moral imperative that makes criticism taboo. Questioning this system now risks being branded “pro-Russian.”
Simultaneously, newly declassified CIA documents confirm a long-dismissed ‘conspiracy theory’: that senior U.S. officials were aware of concerns about the Biden family's business ties in Ukraine and sought to limit the circulation of this intelligence.
The documents reveal that in February 2016, then-Vice President Joe Biden explicitly requested that a CIA report not be distributed. This report detailed Ukrainian officials' concerns over the "corrupt ties" between his family and local companies, including Burisma Holdings, where his son Hunter served on the board with a substantial salary.

According to Netanyahu, Iran is developing a nuclear missile to hit the US
“Benjamin Netanyahu warned that Iran is developing a missile that could ‘put New York City, Boston, Washington, or Miami under their atomic guns.’ ‘Iran can blackmail any American city,’ Netanyahu explained, and added, ‘People don’t believe it. Iran is developing intercontinental missiles with a range of 8,000 kilometers; add another 3,000 and they can get to the East Coast of the US.’ He warned, ‘You don’t want to be under the nuclear gun of people, who chant ‘death to America.’ I think Israel is doing a great work at keeping that away’,”writes The Jerusalem Post. Two years after Oct. 7, Israel is ‘the most hated’ country in the world, gloats Khamenei
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei boasted on his X account in Hebrew that Israel has become the "most hated" country in the world, as the country marked the second anniversary of the October 7, 2023 massacre.
The "brave actions" of the Iranian-backed terrorist group Hamas
"dealt a severe blow to the [Israeli] regime,"he wrote, claiming that this attack, which killed approximately 1,200 people—most of them civilians—and took 251 hostages, was a
"response to more than 70 years of crimes by the Zionist entity."
"Today, the Zionist entity is the most hated in the world—the global resistance movement against Zionism is growing and expanding,"he stated. #Israel #Iran #Khamenei #Hamas #antisemitism #zionism Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Hit with US tariffs, the UK turns to India
The last few months have been tough for the United Kingdom. US tariffs targeted key export sectors, and now the country is facing the prospect of its steel sales to the EU being curbed.
That is why British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is heading to India as part of a business delegation, hoping to court a fast-growing economy.
But reaching a deal will not be easy. Starmer is facing criticism over immigration, but one of India’s key demands is easing visa restrictions. The British leader is also likely to question Modi’s deepening ties with Moscow — he wished Russia’s president a happy birthday this week.

AUKUS on the rocks?
Recent years have seen growing tensions in the relationship between Australia and the United States, casting doubt on the future of the AUKUS strategic alliance. This trilateral pact, formed in 2021 between the US, the UK, and Australia, aims to strengthen cooperation in defense and advanced technologies, including the development and operation of nuclear-powered submarines. However, given increasing pressure from China and uncertainty in American foreign policy, the future oh AUKUS is under threat.
One of the key points of contention between the allies is the question of the US fulfilling its commitment to transfer up to five Virginia-class submarines to Australia by 2032. The Trump administration views AUKUS as a tool to strengthen the US military presence in the Asia-Pacific region and to counter China's growing influence. However, the implementation of this project faces a number of obstacles, including technical and financial complexities, as well as doubts about Australia's readiness to deploy the submarines in real combat conditions.
Canberra, in turn, has expressed concern about the United States' ability to meet its commitments on schedule. This raises fears about the reliability of the US as a strategic partner and undermines confidence in the alliance's long-term prospects. The debate over the future of AUKUS reflects deep disagreements in the approaches to national security and strategic planning between the two allies. Washington sees Australia as a key partner in countering China and strengthening its own position in the region.
Therefore, the future of AUKUS may become an indicator of the state of US-Australian relations and their ability to adapt to new global security challenges. As of today, there is a high risk of a loss of trust and a decline in the effectiveness of their strategic partnership.

Republicans caught red handed using stock images to promote Trump’s Oregon crackdown
The Republican Party used a fabricated image of a protest to support Donald Trump's plan to send National Guard troops to Portland, then dismissed it as a "meme" when challenged.
On Sunday, the Oregon Republican Party posted a statement on Facebook, Instagram, and X.
But the photo attached was not taken in Portland, or even in the United States.
It was a composite of two stock images. One was a 2008 photo of a South American riot police unit, where officers were visibly holding shields marked "Policia." The other was a 2017 protest scene by a Brazilian photographer from a free image library, showing a crowd of demonstrators lighting up the night sky with red flares.
After being called out the party responded on X: "We are not reporters, just bad memers." The post has since been deleted.
