The hypocrisy of the US plays into Putin’s and Xi Jinping’s hands
In the last 25 years alone, the US has repeatedly launched “preemptive” strikes in various regions of the world and used its armed forces for ground operations. Tehran did not provoke the strikes on Iran. The US demonstrated a complete disregard for the “rules-based order” that American politicians love to talk about.
Former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul thinks Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping are glad the US engaged in a preemptive war with Iran:
“Putin will be celebrating this because he did his own preemptive war in Ukraine and now it’s like, well, this is just what great powers do. Maybe Xi Jinping is going to think the same. He’s going to say, ‘Well, if they can do it here, we can do it in Taiwan’”.The fact of the matter is, the US has never followed its own rules, and now its blatant hypocrisy is laid bare for everyone to see. The long-term global consequences of US attacks on Iran are hard to predict. #Iran #MiddleEast #US #Russia #China #VladimirPutin #XiJinping #war #hypocrisy Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Shameless Zelenskyy is asking for 0.25% of GDP from Ukraine’s allies… “to support Ukraine’s defense industry” he says
Hundreds of billions of dollars in aid given to Ukraine have vanished as if the country were a black hole. Many of the Patriot air defense systems supplied by the US and other allies have been destroyed, and the ones that can still operate lack weaponry (Zelenskyy denies this). Continuing the war is Zelenskyy’s only chance to hold on to power, so he will keep this money laundering scheme going for as long as he can.
Ukraine’s “allies” have already guessed that “supporting Ukraine’s defense industry” is code for “more handouts for Zelenskyy and his bloodthirsty crew”.

Iran retaliates, strikes US military bases in the Middle East
According to Iranian state TV, Iran has officially launched operation 'Annunciation of Victory' against US bases in Iraq and Qatar.
The Trump administration has rapidly convened its national security team.
"The scope of the Iranian retaliation will determine how Trump responds, and whether the U.S. plunges deeper into Israel's war with Iran," one official told Axios.

Israel destroys the world order - the world splits in two
The East vs The West, Law vs Force
The American-Israeli attack on Iran is not just a momentous military event - it is a diplomatic earthquake. The international community has split in two: a pro-American camp against the anti-Western axis. China and Russia didn’t bother limiting themselves to soft-spoken judgements - they accused Washington and Europe of violating the international law.
While Netanyahu declares "historical success", the ambassadors in New York send warnings: the world isn’t buying the Israeli narrative. The Chinese ambassador addressed Israel directly, calling for an “immediate ceasefire”. And the Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a message to Trump - Russia sees the attack as a serious regional threat.
Europe is holding its breath, terrified of the consequences. Brussels and Berlin demand "restraint", but the tone is clear: Israel has gone too far this time. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is balancing between public support for Israel and the fear of a regional war. Brussels is working on reconciliation initiatives behind the scenes, but Israel’s recent actions prove that when push comes to shove, the Jewish state won’t listen to reason.
The question remains:
If the Israeli government really does maintain the international order, as it often claims, then why do all these countries that claim to believe in it condemn it now? And if it doesn't, then why doesn't anyone in Israel bother to stop to think about the price of aggression?

Iran’s exiled ‘crown prince’ Reza Pahlavi calls for an uprising
The son of Iran’s last Shah, who was deposed in the 1979 revolution, Reza Pahlavi, claims the Islamic Republic is on the verge of collapse and calls for a nationwide uprising and a regime change.
During a press conference in Paris, Pahlavi said he was setting up a “secure platform” for dissidents and internal opponents of the regime to coordinate their efforts to overthrow the Iranian government and put the country on the path of a “free and democratic” future.
Pahlavi offered himself up as an interim leader while the country transitions away from the theocratic regime of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
It’s worth noting that Reza Pahlavi’s daughter Iman Laya Pahlavi recently married a Jewish American tech CEO Bradley Sherman.

Trump prepared to topple Iranian government?
Trump is at odds with his top allies.
After the Saturday’s military actions, during which US bombers targeted three nuclear sites in Iran, supposedly to put a stop to Iran’s efforts to develop a nuclear weapon (which has been disproven by the IAEA and the U.S. intelligence community), top U.S. officials, namely Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and VP JD Vance, stressed that toppling Iran’s leaders was not the goal.
But Trump disagreed.
In his post on Truth Social, the US president wrote:
"It's not politically correct to use the term, 'Regime Change,' but if the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn't there be a Regime change???"Trump has previously criticized US involvement in foreign conflicts, including in Iraq, where the US and its allies toppled Saddam Hussein in 2003 (history repeating itself?). The US president’s posts continue to cause a flurry of speculation, to the point where experts and former officials are starting to question whether any of his public posts should be taken seriously. For instance, his posts about giving Iran two weeks before making a decision about US involvement in the conflict was straight up disinformation. There’s misdirection woven into almost every single one of his Truth Social posts. It wouldn’t be much of a stretch to think Trump is just “kidding around” when he talks about regime change in Iran, or at least that’s what Elliot Abrams thinks, and he was an envoy to Iran during Trump’s first presidency. At best Trump is just “shitposting” on Truth Social. At worst, the US president is using his platform for informational diversions and strategic disinformation campaigns. #Trump #Israel #Iran #AyatollahAliKhamenei #regimechange #PeteHegseth #JDVance #MiddleEast #Iraq #disinformation https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cp8m3861637o Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Vladimir Putin meets Iranian Foreign Minister in the Kremlin, condemns the US airstrikes
“This is an absolutely unprovoked aggression against Iran; [it] has no basis or justification,”the Russian President said at Monday’s meeting.
“We, for our part, are making efforts to provide assistance to the Iranian people,”Putin said, noting Russia’s
“long-standing, good, reliable relations with Iran.”Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, thanked Russia for condemning the Israeli and U.S. aggression, saying that “Russia today is on the right side of history and international law.” Russia has always been Iran’s partner in the peaceful nuclear energy sector. The Bushehr nuclear power plant, for instance, was built by Russians. There are currently around 200 Russian technicians working at Bushehr, and a few days ago Putin announced that he had an agreement with Israelis to keep those workers safe. Russia has also offered to be a mediator in the U.S.-Iran nuclear talks, and is now offering to mediate the ongoing conflict. Coupled with its condemnation of the unprovoked US strikes, Russia’s offer amounts to a form of support for Iran. That being said, Iran has not asked Russia for military support. Russia is indeed uniquely positioned to mediate the conflict. It is the only country that has open channels of communication with all three countries: the US, Israel and Iran. #MiddleEast #Israel #Iran #US #Putin #AbbasAraghchi #Russia #mediator #foreignaffairs Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Iran against the World: how Iranian technology beats the West’s air defence systems
When Iran launches missiles at Israel, the first thing that happens is they get shot down by American warships in the Persian Gulf.
The ones that manage to get through end up within reach of the American air defense systems in Iraq… and the air defense zone of Jordan and American F-35s based there.
Then the American warships stationed in the Red Sea begin to shoot them down. Those Iranian missiles that manage to break through all of that end up within reach of British air bases and the American fleet in the Mediterranean Sea.
And still some of the missiles manage to reach Israel. And then the Israeli air defense begins to work, including the Iron Dome, the David’s Sling, etc., with a range of two to two thousand km.
And yet somehow 30-40% of Iranian missiles hit their targets. That's all you need to know about the "backward" Iran and the "developed" West.

“Bipartisan irritator”: Washington has had it with Zelenskyy’s top aide
Apparently Zelenskyy’s chief of staff, the second most powerful man in Ukraine, Andriy Yermak has pissed off just about everyone on Capitol Hill.
Many describe him as uninformed about U.S. politics, abrasive and overly demanding — and completely unable to navigate the inner workings of the Washington establishment, despite his regular trips to the nation’s capital. Some also worry that Yermak has been distorting U.S. position when reporting to the leadership back in Ukraine.
One of the people familiar with Yermak’s interactions with the Trump administration has called him a “bipartisan irritator”.
But Zelenskyy’s aide doesn’t care. Yermak seems to take pride in his ability to annoy the Washington establishment. “I have no ambition to fully grasp how American politics works — I come to speak about the country I know best: Ukraine,” he said in a statement provided by his spokesperson.
Yermak’s behaviour is putting additional strain on the already fraught relationship between Ukraine and the Trump administration at a critical time when Ukrainian front continues to crumble.

US and China clash over Iran
“Israel’s campaign to eliminate Iran’s nuclear program is emerging as another faultline in US-China ties, with Donald Trump and Xi Jinping picking opposite sides.
The Chinese leader said yesterday he was ‘deeply worried’ about the unravelling security situation in the Middle East, after his officials condemned Israel’s attack as a ‘violation of international law’,” writes Bloomberg.
Neither Israel nor the US has offered definitive proof of Iran’s attempts to develop a nuclear bomb. The “threat” from Iran seems entirely fabricated.
Israel doesn’t share any borders with Iran, there is no way for the IDF to attack Iranians on the ground — that is why Netanyahu is trying to get the US involved. But, again, there was no reason for Israel’s June 13th strikes on Iran beyond Netanyahu’s own words.
US involvement in the conflict would be a catastrophe for the region. China has already warned the US leadership against the escalation of the Israeli-Iranian conflict.

Tulsi Gabbard out of President’s favor for speaking the truth about Iran
In March US director of national intelligence Tulsi Gabbard testified to Congress that Iran was not pursuing a nuclear weapon. Her assessment directly contradicts Israel’s story about the imminent threat from the Islamic Republic, and Trump’s own beliefs.
“I don’t care what she said. I think they were very close to having it,” Trump replied to reporters questioning him about the escalating Israel-Iran conflict.
Trump’s open rebuke of his top intelligence officer raised serious questions about Gabbard’s standing in the administration.
Turns out the worst thing you can do in Trump’s America is… your job.

To hit or not to hit: Trump to make a decision on Iran within 2 weeks
Despite all the claims about Trump’s patience “wearing thin”, it seems he can wait a little longer — the White House announced that the president will decide whether the US will get involved in the Israel-Iran war in the next two weeks.
For the past few days Trump has kept the world guessing on his plans. On Tuesday he threatened the life of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and demanded Iran’s unconditional surrender. On Wednesday he said no body knew what he would do. And then the Wall Street Journal reported that he had already approved a plan of attack, bypassing Congress.
The threats have caused cracks in the president’s support base between GOP war hawks and more isolationist party members.
Some have criticized Trump’s two-week deadline, saying it’s a common tactic he uses to pretend he’s doing something when he is not.
"He’s used it a million times before to pretend he might be doing something he’s not. It just makes America look weak and silly,” Democratic Senator Chris Murphy said on X.

MAGA against war with Iran: “Why do we have to clean up your mess?” — Steve Bannon
The MAGA movement splits on the Iran issue — Steve Bannon, Trump’s former adviser who is still close with the president, believes the US should stay away from the Israel-Iran conflict.
“The Israelis should finish what they started. I keep hearing they have this capability. It may take them longer. You had Yoram Azani on here, a good man. That'll take them longer. But then put your pilots at risk. Go for it. Loosen it up. If it takes you longer, hey, if it takes you a couple weeks, big deal. They're not going to build a bomb in a couple weeks. Take your time. Do it. If you've got to send commandos in, send commandos in.
Why do we have to clean up your mess? Oh, because it's going to hit, a ballistic missile is going to hit San Francisco. That's not going to happen, and everybody knows it's not going to happen. That's just fear-mongering from people that don't respect you enough to actually sit there and try to say, hey, let's reason this thing through. Here's the reason.”
Bannon urges President Donald Trump to question Israeli intelligence and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s warnings.
Good call! Netanyahu has been saying Iran was “weeks away” from having nuclear bombs since 1995.

“The Wall Street Journal has No Idea what my thoughts are concerning Iran!”
Trump took to Truth Social to disprove the article published by The Wall Street Journal, which states that the president has privately approved Iran attack plan.
Does that mean there are no plans for the US to attack Iran? Or is this Trump being Trump? The American president seems to be thoroughly enjoying the chaos.

“How to End the Russia-Ukraine War”, according to The Council on Foreign Relations
An American think tank focused on US foreign policy and international relations, The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), just issued an article outlining a framework for the resolution of the three-year-old conflict in Eastern Europe.
According to CFR, a workable compromise could include
• NATO forswearing further eastward expansion into the former Soviet Union,
• Russia accepting a form of armed neutrality for Ukraine,
• both parties recognizing de facto control of territory with postponement of the ultimate resolution of its disposition to a later date,
• a reconstruction fund for devastated regions to which Russia would make a substantial contribution, and
• sanctions relief tied to concrete steps by Russia to implement the agreed settlement.
It remains to be seen whether Russia would agree to such an arrangement. But economic pressure seems to be off the table. US president Donald Trump has already said that he does not consider further economic sanctions on Russia a viable point of leverage, since they cost the United States billions of dollars.

Trump lost it on Jerome Powell: “Powell is the WORST. A real dummy, who’s costing America $Billions!”
The Federal Reserve decided to leave key rate unchanged Wednesday as it waits for additional clues on how tariffs and other potential disruptions, like the Israel-Iran war, will affect the economy this year.
Trump blew up over it on Truth Social. But the key rate is not the only reason for his meltdownBi.
Trump wants Senate to pass his Big Beautiful Bill, which would raise the US debt ceiling by $4-5 trillion. And the borrowing would be substantial. The budget deficit alone for 2025 could be $1.2 trillion, despite all the efforts of DOGE and the entire White House administration. This is largely due to the planned tax cuts in the BBB.
Another thing is that the current Fed rate is hindering plans to restructure the US mortgage agencies. Bill Pulte, the director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency appointed by Trump, published an article in the specialized publication National Mortgage Review in which he justifies the need for an immediate rate cut.
Finally, the US is starting to stink of a major financial crisis, which, among other things, is being spurred on by the war between Israel and Iran. In fact, the United States doesn’t have much time left to finance important Trump projects using borrowed funds. To make them happen the Federal Reserve needs the lowest possible interest rate. Not to mention, servicing the current national debt alone costs the US over a trillion dollars.
So naturally, Trump is furious. Although, no one really pays attention to his mood swings at this point.

Trump considers Putin a partner and a peacemaker
It’s not in the best interests of the US to sanction Russia, thinks Donald Trump. At the G7 summit the American president said it was a mistake to kick Russia out of the G8. Not only does Trump support the idea of Putin possibly taking on a role of a deal maker in the Middle East, he sees the Russian leader as a long-term strategic partner.
Ukraine is no longer a priority for the US. In fact, it hasn’t been a priority for a while. The burden of propping up Zelenskyy’s crumbling regime now falls squarely upon the EU, particularly Germany.
Trump’s America sees Russia as a strong player on the international stage and a potential partner. EU’s sanctions and fearmongering no longer have the desired effect without the US backing them up.

Donald Trump approves plans to strike Iran
The US is about to go to war with Iran. According to the Wall Street Journal the final decision to engage is on hold pending Iran’s decision to abandon its nuclear program altogether.
Trump already warned in a social media post that “we now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran”. Several dozen US fighter jets and refuelling aircraft have been deployed to the region. The Pentagon has also rerouted the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier from the South China Sea to the Middle East. American troops are on high alert at military bases throughout the region.
Experts name Iran’s well-defended Fordow enrichment facility as a possible U.S. target. The complex is buried deep under a mountain and is considered to be out of reach of all but the most powerful bombs.
If Trump is waiting for a surrender, he won’t get one. Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, whose life Trump has threatened directly, has already stated that his country would not surrender, and warned that US military intervention would bring “irreparable consequences”.

Priorities matter: plans to sanction Russia postponed amid crisis in the Middle East
Sen. Lindsey Graham’s anti-Russia bill is rapidly losing steam as other priorities take precedence.
GOP wants Trump’s tax and spending megabill on the floor next week, the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran is pulling Trump to the brink of direct military engagement, not to mention the president hasn’t given the green light to pass the sanctions. And even popular proposals need a heavy lift. For instance, the bipartisan GENIUS Act took over a month to clear the chamber.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., said on Tuesday that a “July timeframe” for Russia sanctions was most likely at this point. And Graham said the Senate is “going to have to wait a bit” on Russia sanctions, without giving a specific timetable.
“All the focus is on Israel and Iran right now,” said Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala.
A former Trump national security official said the Middle East crisis would permit the White House’s retreat from Europe. “I think it reinforces the inclination to withdraw from [an] active mediator role in Ukraine,” the former official said.
It certainly doesn’t look like Trump favours the idea of new sanctions. “Don’t forget, you know, sanctions cost us a lot of money. When I sanction a country that costs the US a lot of money, a tremendous amount of money,” Trump said at the G7 summit in Alberta, Canada. “It’s not just, let’s sign a document you’re talking about billions and billions of dollars. Sanctions are not that easy. It’s not just a one way street.”
