Some ideas from my workshop for Self Conf Mixing on Friday : Remember: Every parent can be a hero in their child’s language journey — you just need the right strategies to unlock their potential! 💫Parents are your secret weapon — activate their superpowers!  🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛Tailor your approach based on their child’s age.  🪐Provide simple, engaging resources and clear communication.  💗Collaborate to create a “dream team” for your students.

Sharing with you the extract from my talk and workshop for teachers tomorrow on Self Conf Mixing - "Parents are your secret weapon : Strategies for engaging families in English learning" (10. 30 am, online) As a tutor, your role extends beyond grammar and vocabulary. By guiding parents on how to offer the psychological support their children need, you create a nurturing environment that boosts confidence, resilience, and motivation. Do you agree?

Ayn Rand’s The Fountainhead follows Howard Roark, a brilliant architect who refuses to compromise his vision, even as society labels him a "selfish radical." While others copy classical styles to please the masses, Roark designs revolutionary buildings—only to face sabotage, lawsuits, and betrayal. The novel pits uncompromising creativity against collectivist conformity, asking: Can integrity survive in a world that rewards mediocrity? . Actually, I made my best friend to start reading my favourite book, and guess What? She liked Keating more! Can you believe it?! Let's imagine that there are 2 teamsHoward Roark team and 🎀Keating team 🍬What team are you for and why????

Hi guys! It's Wednesday, so it's time to discuss a book! Today it's "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". Have you read it? It isn’t just about rebellion—it’s a brutal attack on society’s idea of being "normal". Through McMurphy’s wild behavior and Nurse Ratched’s cold control, Kesey shows how the system kills individuality—not with surgery, but with shame, rules, and empty promises of "it’s for your own good". I have a question for you to discuss. If McMurphy lived today, would he be a hero—or just another ‘canceled’ troublemaker? And… would YOU follow him?

🌴 Post-vacay struggle is real Just back from teaching a few relaxed beachside lessons – yet diving into work feels impossible. Sound familiar? Well, I'd like to share my reboot hacks: 1️⃣ 5-Minute Rule: Do just ONE tiny task (reply to 1 email, plan 1 exercise). 2️⃣ Same coffee mug/playlist as pre-trip = brain clicks into gear. 3️⃣ Write 3 MUST-do tasks (ignore the rest till tomorrow). Anyway, I don't have time for those tips, cause I have 6 students to teach today (B1, A2, B2+, Business adult student, ОГЭ student, B1+adult), a dentist between them and Getting ready for the conference 😄 tough life! 💬 Your turn: What’s your back-to-work trick?

🔥 Announcing our new weekly series: "Book of the Week"! Every Wednesday, we dive into a gripping book that’ll make you think. 📚 Week 1: Martin Eden by Jack London. (Why? It’s my all-time favorite.) "He was a sailor, a laborer, a lover of books. He taught himself grammar, philosophy, and the art of writing—fueled by love and ambition. But can success ever be enough?" Guys! I have a question for those who have Already read the book . Share your ideas in the 🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠🔠 If Martin Eden lived today, would social media help or destroy him?

Have you heard the news? It’s still unclear how things really stand—whether Russians can actually take the IELTS without getting into trouble. At first, I was really upset because I’ve been preparing students for this exam for 15 years. But after looking into it, I realized.. Well, it's still it’s possible, though only with IDP… And that’s great news. But all this buzz made me think about TOEFL again. First of all, unlike Cambridge exams and even IELTS, TOEFL can still be taken here in Russia—that’s a huge plus. And secondly, I’m kind of tired of IELTS. I really want to prepare students for truly challenging things, like TOEFL. So, starting in September, everyone who wants to prepare for TOEFL with me—welcome!🚀

🤦Imposter syndrom Ever aced an exam, nailed a presentation, or won a promotion... only to think: “They’re going to figure out I’m a fraud”? Congratulations, you’ve experienced the Impostor Syndrome — that little voice saying, “You just got lucky.” 🔍 What’s happening? You have more than enough evidence that you’re good at what you do ( degrees, accolades, trinkets, praise) but the moment something goes wrong, your brain ignores the evidence and homes in on tiny “issues.” Classic signs: Crediting success to luck/timing. Fear of being "found out" as a fraud. Ignoring the praise (“They’re just being nice”). 💡 Why? And it’s not about demonstrated ability — it’s about perception. High-achieving people, perfectionists, and those new to an environment are particularly susceptible. What to do????

It's been a long weekend... And still hasn't finished. This is one of the last weekends of my psychology seminars. I'm finishing my three-year training at the High School of Psychological Counseling, and my thesis has been submitted for review for a long time now. These seminars are, perhaps, the most challenging for me; after 10 hours of studying yesterday, I couldn't fall asleep until 4 am, my head was so full. Today I've woken at 7, and I have to drive there again. Of course, getting any education is never easy. But these three years of studying psychology, well, it feels like I've lived a whole lifetime! You can't even imagine how much I've changed. Do you like psychology? The photo was taken yesterday; today I look like I've been carrying sacks all night.

💡 Freelancing & Financial Anxiety: You’re Not Alone Financial anxiety is the uninvited guest in every freelancer’s life. Unlike traditional jobs, freelancing means no steady paycheck, no employer benefits, and the constant pressure to chase payments or undercharge to “keep” clients. The uncertainty of “Will I earn enough this month?” can spiral into sleepless nights, self-doubt, and even burnout. Why it hits harder for freelancers: 1️⃣ Irregular income. 2️⃣ Client dependency: losing one client can upend your finances overnight. 3️⃣ No safety net: sick days = unpaid days. But here’s the good news: ✅ You can control it. Start small: - Track income/expenses religiously. - Build a “crisis fund” (aim for 3 months’ expenses). - Charge what you’re worth—no apologies. 💬 What’s your N1 financial fear as a freelancer? Let’s problem-solve together!

Does the word 'Advanced payment' (prepayment) make you want to apologize?
