Divine Playhouse Prayer Vigil. Outside The MCA. Sydney. 22 October 2026.
Organised by The Prodigal Sons, Liam Aquilina and Fit for the Kingdom.
This is the 4th instalment Sydney Protest has covered now in this ongoing series.
Starting with the Unholy Playhouse Opening Night Vigil. 8 July 2026.
In their words about tonight…“The Divine Playhouse is back and this time they've doubled down on the mockery of our Catholic faith.
They're set to reopen at the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Sydney City with three events spanning across October. These events are called an unholy funeral, with an upside down cross. An eternal love affair and A delicious indiscretion. At these events, they've stated they are going to have hymns and processions.
You wouldn't be able to do this to neither Muslims nor Jews. But Christians, apparently it's free reign. Archbishop Fischer had something to say about it. I think they're deliberately trying to provoke Christians.”

Men's suicide awareness event. #2500TooMany. The Domain. 22 October 2026
The event was hosted by Roy Butler MP, Member for Barwon, and organised by Paul Withall, President and Founder of the Zero Suicide Community Awareness Program.
1 Australian man lost every 3 hours is #2500TooMany
In the year 2000, Australia was losing around 5 men to suicide every day, that's roughly 2,100 male deaths a year.
By 2015, that had gone up to roughly 6 men a day, 2,270 male suicides in a year.
It took 15 years for the number to increase by roughly 170.
Then, in 2022, male suicides jumped by 97 in a single year, taking the total to 2,455, about 7 men every single day. The most recent figures available are for 2024 and male suicides reached 2,529.
Men continue to account for roughly three-quarters of all suicides in Australia.
1 man every 3 hours is #2500toomany.
On the back of wings we fight to stop this.

HMAS Penguin on Middle Head is NOT for sale Protest. Balmoral Rotunda. 11 October 2026.
Hosted by The Headland Preservation Group.
Speakers:
Senator Jess Collins
The Hon. Peter Garrett AM
Maj. Gen. Gus McLachlan AO (Retd)
Senator David Shoebridge
Zali Steggall OAM, Federal Member for Warringah
In their words...”The federal government wants to sell off around 11 of the 16.64 hectares that make up HMAS Penguin at Middle Head. Our position is simple: don't sell it, transfer it. HMAS Penguin should follow the same path as the former HMAS Platypus site in North Sydney, handed to the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust as public parkland in 2005, kept in public hands, open to the community, and properly protected.
HMAS Penguin has been earmarked for sale twice before, in 1988–89 and again in 1996, and both times, public pressure stopped it. We believe we can stop it a third time.”
