| 2 | 📢 Scheduled Maintenance: Tonight
Our hosting provider is applying an emergency security update and will be rebooting its servers.
🕖 When: 16 October, 19:00 – 21:00 UK time (18:00 – 20:00 UTC)
What to expect:
- Proxies stay online. EU & US traffic will be routed to backup servers, so you may notice higher latency during this window
- The website and dashboard may have issues or be briefly unavailable
No action is needed on your end. Everything will switch back automatically once the work is done.
Thanks for your patience 💗 | 134 |
| 3 | ✅ DC EU Network Back Online
The DC EU network is back up and fully operational on both IPv4 and IPv6.
The network upgrade is complete, and you should notice improved speed and reliability. You can resume using EU as normal.
Thanks for your patience!

| 5 | ⚠️ EU Node Maintenance
Our EU node is temporarily offline while we upgrade the network. This work will improve speed and reliability going forward.
We expect it to be back online shortly. All other locations are unaffected and running as normal.
We'll post an update as soon as the EU node is back up. Thanks for your patience!

| 7 | 📢 Service Update
You may have noticed higher latency and some connection timeouts recently. This was caused by malicious actors targeting our infrastructure.
We've since upgraded our infrastructure to better withstand this kind of activity, and performance should now be returning to normal.
If you're still seeing issues, please reach out to support and we'll look into it right away. Thanks for your patience and for sticking with Proxies.fo. | 2 270 |

| 10 | 📡 *ISP USA — Pool Replacement*
Our upstream for *ISP USA* had their rack contract terminated at very short notice. This affects the entire US ISP pool.
*ISP EU is unaffected and running normally.*
📋 *What's happening*
- The full US ISP pool is being replaced with a fresh set of IPs.
- New IPs sit across *WINDSTREAM, ZAYO, RCN, VERIZON, GTT and PILOT FIBER*.
- All replacement IPs come with clean reputation.
- We are aiming for *zero downtime*. The swap is being completed today.
👥 *Who this affects*
- *IP Targeting users on ISP USA* — your pinned IPs will change and will need to be re-selected once the new pool is live.
- Everyone else on ISP USA: no action needed beyond the new ranges appearing.
- *ISP EU: no impact.*
⚠️ The replacement pool is smaller than the one it replaces. If you hold a large number of targeted IPs, expect fewer to be available than before. We will publish exact figures once the migration completes.
📢 *Instructions to follow within the next 6–7 hours.*
If the migration slips or you see degradation on ISP USA, *SLA credits apply* — open a ticket and we will sort it. | 410 |
| 11 | Datacenter Issue is resolved, All clients will automatically be added 48Hours reimbursemet. | 179 |
| 12 | We are aware of downtime regarding US datacenter node, please use the EU node dcp-eu.proxies.fo temporarily, while we investigate. | 238 |
| 13 | 📍 Proxy Geolocation — Quick Clarification
Hey everyone,
Getting different countries for the same IP across sites? That's expected — there's no single universal geolocation database. IPinfo, Scamalytics, IP2Location and supplier DBs often disagree due to:
Different update schedules
ASN/routing propagation delays
Different classification methods
Recently we found IPinfo showing outdated locations — e.g. DE proxies appearing as UK — despite supplier verification and routing confirming they were correct.
Going forward, we're using MaxMind as our source of truth for infrastructure-level geo checks:
Our priorities stay the same: stable proxies, reliable performance, correct routing.

| 17 | 🚨 NETNUT GOT SEIZED — WE DIDN'T 🚨
The FBI just seized NetNut after it got tied to a 2 million device botnet. Hundreds of domains gone overnight — and Google says a ton of "popular proxy brands" were secretly just reselling NetNut the whole time.
A lot of providers lost their entire backend yesterday. 👀
Proxies.fo runs its own infrastructure — our subnets, our software, our metering. Nothing borrowed, nothing that disappears when the feds knock.
