The United States government has revised its visa reciprocity policy for Ghana, significantly reducing the validity period and entry allowances for most non-immigrant visas.
Under the new guidelines, most applicants, including those seeking business or tourism (B-class) and student (F-1) visas, will now receive single-entry visas valid for only three months. This marks a sharp departure from the previous system, which granted multiple entries over one to five years.
Diplomats and government officials (A-class visas) are exempt from the changes, retaining multiple-entry visas valid for 24 to 60 months. Fiancé(e) and family-related visas (K1 to K4) also remain largely unchanged in terms of entry and duration.
