The United States Embassy in Accra has confirmed the extradition of Joseph Badu Boateng, also known as Dada Joe Remix, to the United States to face charges related to a multimillion-dollar fraud scheme.
According to a statement, special agents from the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) at the U.S. Embassy worked in close partnership with Ghanaian authorities to assist the FBI in Dada Joe’s extradition.
He has been indicted for allegedly operating a fraud ring that exploited romance and inheritance scams to defraud U.S. victims of several million dollars.
Dada Joe is now in the United States and will face prosecution for his role in the scheme.
